You do understand that Palin is running for VP while Obama is running for President, right? If we want to actually compare “apples to apples”, McCain has plenty of experience to be President. Obama, not so much.

You don’t want anyone to remember that McCain is actually on top of the ticket. It’s a buzz kill.

Fox News Channel led the way Wednesday, with 9.2 million people watching Palin’s speech on the cable channel. It was the third-largest audience in its history, behind only President Bush’s speech on Iraq in March 2003 and a Bush-Kerry presidential debate in 2004.

Hey, that’s not counting all of us without cable who dumped PBS network to get online FOXNEWS.com and watch live streaming the GOP Convention. Thank you, FOX, since our local affiliates didn’t cover it, for letting us view online.

So Palin’s speech beat American Idol Finale and the Olympic festivities as well. It would have surpassed Nada Obama’s but for the neglect in networks covering it. NO PROBLEM!

Before you dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin is Commander of the Alaska National Guard, consider this:

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit
that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It’s on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly classified Military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified
material may rival even Biden’s and certainly by far exceeds Obama’s.

She’s also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security’s
counterterrorism plans.

Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the
entire country’s defense. Given Alaska ’s proximity to Russia , she may have security clearances we don’t even know about. According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets.

She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.

Amazing speech doesn’t mean ready to become President. Two years as governor of smalls state doesn’t mean ready to become President. Get over it. Apparently resentment over Obama was actually nothing more than jealousy that Republicans didn’t have their own hero to worship.

Hatred for unborn children (AKA punishment) doesn’t mean ready to become president. 20 years of absorbing the racist, hateful, anti-American statements from some insane jew-hating, white-hating, gun-hating fake pastor doesn’t mean ready to become president.

And moreover, a lack of decisiveness in the face of important topic after important topic while you represent REAL people with REAL lives DISqualifies a person to be president. Earmarking 1 million dollars of taxpayer money to a hospital that your wife is the vice president of disqualifies you to be president.

And for the record, Some Republicans choose Jesus Christ as a hero to imitate and revere. Some of us chose a man that actually had a solid record of inspiring miracles of life, and healing others. All this Palin lust is driving me nuts. I’ll take Fred or Rudy over this woman any day. Her experience is no better than Bush’s resume in 200, and look where that lead the country and party. I don’t see any sign that she’s any smarter than Bush either.

If I want to vote for the ticket based on experience and not hype, I don’t even know who’s side to take any more.

Yeah and she is running for VP not POTUS. She is running to be the person who warms a seat in the Senate in case they need a tiebreaker vote for 4 years. Obama, who has no more experience, is running to be ‘the Man’ ’round these parts. That scares me FAR more than any real or perceived lack of experience a VP candidate has (or I suppose more appropriately, ‘doesn’t have’).

If you are truly voting based on experience I don’t see how you have any choice but McCain. He has an actual record of public service unlike Obama’s non-experience.

Time constraints caused them to cut this on Wednesday when Sarah Palin did her acceptance speech, so here it is now, better late than never.
Her opponents will of course trot out any disgruntles person they can find who doesn’t like something she…

Like Allah at Hot Air and others, I saw the 38 million Palin viewers number up on Drudge and thought she had just fallen short of hitting Obama’s number. But now the AP is reporting a more complete total viewership…

No, Dave, it’s the Daily Kos edit that shows her daughter giving birth to her son, while Sarah laughs as she slips out of her pregnancy suit after a hard day of having affairs with half the men in Alaska. I would imagine you’ve probably already seen this cut in your usual haunts. It’s the one CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS based their reporting on.
