Citizen Duck on September 4, 2008 at 12:08 AM

AMAZING speech! GRAND SLAM!!!!

DethMetalCookieMonst on September 4, 2008 at 12:08 AM

She did just as I expected. Great speaker. Qualities of character — thoughts, words, feelings, actions, all apparently in sync. Friendly though deadly jabs at Obama. No weaknesses.

Paul-Cincy on September 4, 2008 at 12:08 AM

What, no preemptive pessimism?

MitchellC on September 4, 2008 at 12:08 AM

You missed CNN, NBC, MSNBC give a collective…”Oh Sh*t!”

d1carter on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

He watched it, he’s just trying to get attention. :)

Jim-Rose on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

You missed the youngest daughter spit-shining the babies head. That was my favorite part.

bokonon42 on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

So, what’d I miss?

Oh, just one damned humdinger of a speech, delivered comfortably and well. “Sarah Barracuda” indeed.

Mike H on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

FIRED UP TEH CUDA!!

stlpatriot on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

Oh…and you missed a speech that Sarah just read. Did you know she didn’t write it! SHE DID NOT WRITE IT! SHE JUST READ IT!

SouthernGent on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

You only missed the greatest speech of the new millennium.

carbon_footprint on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

Darn you Allahpundit, darn you all to heck!

BKennedy on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

Baby’s. Oops.

bokonon42 on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

I can’t wait to see her clean and dress “Plugs” Biden in the VP debate.

Cicero43 on September 4, 2008 at 12:10 AM

Republicans in the White House for at least another 12 years (4 McCain + 8 Palin).

rhuppertz on September 4, 2008 at 12:10 AM

Chris Matthews got a tingle up his leg from Obama.

Right now, Matthews is pissing down that leg.

Django on September 4, 2008 at 12:10 AM

Wow! When is the Palin Biden debate? I can’t wait!

redshirt on September 4, 2008 at 12:10 AM

I love Palin!!! The dems are cooked.

ebrawer on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

she needs to work on her word emphasis, but the writing/content of the speech was fan-tabulistical

Drunk Report on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

Treacher is right? You really didn’t watch it?

Esthier on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

A star is born…McCain better get the President thing in writing….

d1carter on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

Wow! When is the Palin Biden debate? I can’t wait!

redshirt on September 4, 2008 at 12:10 AM

October 2nd.

ReubenJCogburn on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

You missed the youngest daughter spit-shining the babies head. That was my favorite part.

bokonon42 on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

You got to love technology-it’s on YouTube.

carbon_footprint on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

So, AP, I know that you’re jerking our chain about missing the speech. What did you think? Because from where I was sitting, I was simply hoping that McCain won’t be a complete letdown tomorrow night.

Physics Geek on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

You have got to be kidding me. That was solid. Even the lefties over at Mydd admit that.

dKap on September 4, 2008 at 12:11 AM

Best line(s)

Styrofoam greek pillars & reading terrorists their rights.

Limerick on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

I think Joe Biden probably peed in his pants just a little bit tonight…

HEH!!!

BigWyo on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

It was a red meat night tonight. Still dripping blood kind of red meat.

thekingtut on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

So, what’d I miss?

The birth of the New Conservative Movement.

MadisonConservative on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

Ok. Now let’s go to town with how QUALIFIED she is!

promachus on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

You missed the youngest daughter spit-shining the babies head. That was my favorite part.

bokonon42 on September 4, 2008 at 12:09 AM

I loved that part too. She was just licking her whole hand and slicking down his hair. She’s so cute.

Esthier on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

She was awesome. She really was. And I flipped back and forth between CNN, MSNBC, and Fox. And I saw fear on the faces of some of those MSM talking heads.

Mr. Joe on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

Sarah the Thrilla from Wasilla Palin baby…

AP I hope you’re ok and either joking or refraining for a reason.

sven10077 on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

She’s actually smoother than the other three in the race…yes, including the Messiah & the 35 year Washington politician…she’s a NATURAL…and we are witnessing the beginning of something big…

DCJeff on September 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM

Andrea Mitchell was positively ruined after the speech. It was so good, she knew she couldn’t possibly find anything bad to say about it. Campbell Brown was so enthusiastic, she actually was nice to Andy Cooper. Candy Crowley wrung her hands and tried to think up something negative to say but could in the end, she simply gave up and started rumaging through her purse looking for a chocolate bar.

Ha! It is hard to describe a 8 run homer.

DrW on September 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM

So, what’d I miss?

lulz

Allah rocks.

Purple Fury on September 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM

Remember how, in grade school, boys would be the meanest to the girl they liked?

Eeyore’s got a crush.

misterpeasea on September 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM

I think the name coined by Rachel Lucas sums Palin up perfectly…SARAHCUDA!!!!!

AUINSC on September 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM

Gov. Palin was electrifying, funny, and threw some fantastic punches at the Dems. Really terrific!

Jill1066 on September 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM

I think Joe Biden probably peed in his pants just a little bit tonight…

HEH!!!

BigWyo on September 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM

I think Joe pre-installed a catherter “just in case”…he’s older and wiser than Barry…

sven10077 on September 4, 2008 at 12:14 AM

DrW on September 4, 2008 at 12:14 AM

Come one people, pump up more. Show some energy. We’ve gotto create a buzz. Solid? Natch. Spectacular is more like it.

promachus on September 4, 2008 at 12:14 AM

Haha,

Screechy and Preachy…otherwise, not bad.

alphie on September 4, 2008 at 12:14 AM

Did anyone else chance lowering his or her IQ by jumping over to MSNBC to see Chrissie’s and Obly’s reaction? I think that Olby peed in his pants. At least Chris noticed what had happened, calling Gov. Palin “a torpedo aimed at Barack Obama”. Olberman then curled into a fetal position, stuck his thumb in his ass and then into his mouth.

I missed a bit, so that last part might not be entirely accurate.

Physics Geek on September 4, 2008 at 12:14 AM

Purple Fury on September 4, 2008 at 12:15 AM

Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown.

And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves.

I think I had to pick my jaw up off of the floor.

Best. Line. Evah.

flyawaybird on September 4, 2008 at 12:15 AM

AP, turn that frown upside down. Come on, man, it ain’t gonna crack your face.

Terrie on September 4, 2008 at 12:15 AM

Why do I have this feeling a lot of Senators and Congressmen, incumbents and challengers, are going to be begging to have Palin come to their states and districts to campaign.

I see coattails.

Dusty on September 4, 2008 at 12:15 AM

You missed all the Important Stuff again, AllahPagan

People like you see the cloud cover and forget the sun is there behind them; you see tides going out and somehow forget that they come back in soon, often stronger than before

You’re getting to be a Waste of Time, man

( you missed the defeat of Obama-Biden 2008 )

Janos Hunyadi on September 4, 2008 at 12:15 AM

Allah: Waiting to Exhale!

Whitney Houston on line two, she has your meds waiting.

Vatican Watcher on September 4, 2008 at 12:16 AM

The Barracuda has arrived. As Charles Krauthammer said, “Between her and Rudy they didn’t just through out some red meat. They slaughtered a small cow up there.” And she did it with, poise, grace, and a smile. GAME ON!

D0WNT0WN on September 4, 2008 at 12:16 AM

So, what’d I miss?

Imagine Marge Gunderson taking down Jerry Lundegaard with extreme prejudice.

Kind of like that.

Slublog on September 4, 2008 at 12:16 AM

She gives better speeches than Obama

jp on September 4, 2008 at 12:16 AM

Allah, seriously. What aren’t you missing?

upinak on September 4, 2008 at 12:16 AM

Dude, why didn’t you watch it?

Baphomet on September 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM

Only 2-3 minute standing O on her introduction. Very disappointed.

Paul-Cincy on September 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM

I am going to watch this on my iPhone various times. Also Giuliani’s speech.

I’ve eaten seven popsicles, and I’m still hot from the speech.

MadisonConservative on September 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM

So, what’d I miss?

Piper spitting on her hand and smoothing Trig’s hair?

Loxodonta on September 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM

Forgive me reading into Allah’s Screen Cap Choice but (I feel) it betrays either his sexual attraction to her or a tip that he approves.

AYNBLAND on September 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM

Come on, AP, what did you think? Feeling a little bit better now?

Dusty on September 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM

You have to be cheered up. Everyone is happy.

Spirit of 1776 on September 4, 2008 at 12:17 AM

I love it–the biggest criticism from Obama’s camp is the fact that Matthew Scully (*gasp*, Quayle and Bush’s speechwriter) wrote it for her.

m064404 on September 4, 2008 at 12:18 AM

So, what’d I miss?

Umm, I’ve got your vet right here.

Amazing.

carbon_footprint on September 4, 2008 at 12:20 AM

Limerick on September 4, 2008 at 12:21 AM

My favorite lines:

In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers.

And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change.

They’re the ones whose names appear on laws and landmark reforms, not just on buttons and banners, or on self-designed presidential seals.

I love how she ended that part.

Esthier on September 4, 2008 at 12:21 AM

You missed the youngest daughter spit-shining the babies head. That was my favorite part.
I saw that! Hilarious and beautiful at the same time!
