Chris is trying to gin up conflict for rating. I actually think he might be an alchy.
I saw them together during the convention coverage and they seemed fine together.

I'm a big fan of Pat but why he stays on MSNBC is beyond me.
I would like to see him move to Fox or just write at this point
On a side note whatever happened to Ann Coulter.? I never see her on any of the network coverage, not even once during both conventions?

General Electric isn’t going to have anyone on who would cause a problem with their Islamo-communist terrorist contract interests.

Buddahpundit on September 5, 2008 at 1:17 AM

That's right folks! When you don't have anything of substance to talk about, smear your opponent as a Muslim, Communist, or better yet -- a TERRORIST! *sniff, sniff* I can almost smell the bigoted righteous indignation.

I bet that Buddahpundit (whom I'm guessing is not a Buddhist since they've spelled Buddha incorrectly) has scant few arguments before launching into a 'you're a terrorist-loving-commie-supporting-liberal-hippie-pinko' name-calling rant.

Chris Matthews, et al, have research staffs. If he wants examples of inappropriate questions, he should have them look into it rather than pop the question to a guess who does not have their research handy.

Here are what I feel are a collection of inappropriate questions asked on MSM by paid staff or contributors, not the blogs or tabloids. The theme is that Sarah is a bad mother for wanting to be VP: mothers need not apply for executive positions.

"There's also this issue that on April 18th, she gave birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome.... Children with Down's syndrome require an awful lot of attention. The role of Vice President, it seems to me, would take up an awful lot of her time, and it raises the issue of how much time will she have to dedicate to her newborn child?" John Roberts CNN

"How can a woman run a state and bring up five children at the same time?... I think they have every right to ask that..." Liz Trotta, Media Prof at New School

"Is she prepared for the all-consuming nature of the job? She is the mother of five children, one of them a four-month-old with Down Syndrome. Her first priority has to be her children. When the phone rings at three in the morning and one of her children is really sick what choice will she make?" Sally Quin Washington Post

"Adding to the brutality of a national campaign, the Palin family also has an infant with special needs. What leads you, the Senator, and the Governor to believe that one won't affect the other in the next couple of months?" Bill Weir Good Morning America

" There is another question though which essentially I’ve heard expressed here many times today and from calls elsewhere, and that is the decision made by Sarah Palin herself, when knowing her daughter’s condition, by accepting John McCain’s offer she guaranteed that her daughter would be known globally as the best known 17-year-old unwed teenager in the world, and that decision many people question... The question of how it affected her daughter is not open to question. It has made her daughter a front-page item for the country." Mark Shield PBS // No, Mark, "It" did not do this; the media did this. Mark seems to want unwed teens to be held in seclusion... to protect them from an unprofessional media. //

"But there's also, I think the part of it is the particular dynamic of her family, Megan. Her youngest child, down's syndrome and now her oldest daughter is pregnant. And there are some moms out there that are angry, that are saying she has put her family unfairly into the spotlight." Meredith Viera Today // Meredith wants special needs children secluded along with their pregnant sisters. //

"Congresswoman, what about the argument that, you know, vice president is a tough job, and that having a four month old baby, who has Down's Syndrome, that will have special needs, requires extra time, that, that she should be focusing on her four month old, that some people have said that, fairly or unfairly. What do you think of that?' Norah O'Donnell MSNBC

is matthews drunk? no sober person acts that way.

I came to the conclusion earlier this year that Matthews was a raging alcoholic. It's a shame 'cause Matthews used to be a guy who was interesting to read or listen to until he became unbent over the war. his book "Kennedy and Nixon: The Rivalry that Shaped America" was believe it or not quite fair to Nixon and was a very good red. Now he foams at the mouth over "neocons" and has drifted into paleocon territory - which makes his dust up with Buchanan hilarious to watch. Yes it is like Saddam's Iraq v. Khomeini's Iran - too bad they both could not lose (as Kissinger once said).

I'm sorry but I saw reporters say they were sent to Alaska to find out if the Kos rumours were true and detailed the Kos rumours ON THE AIR.

There is a world of difference between going after Bristol Palin and covering a story about a sitting President exploiting a girl only 4 years older than Bristol. And then using his Presidential power to cover it up and lieing under oath and lying to the American power. So Matthews is full of it.

And Chris Matthews shouldn't be asking anyone questions as any kind of fair dealer because he is so blind to any other view than his own.

"I got thru about a third of it. Totally unwatchable. Buchanan is worse than Noonan at pretend politics."

Well thats a first. Usually, knuckleheads smear Pat for saying politically incorrect things...not cowtowing or being politically correct. In summary, you are so wrong. He was busting liberals back in 1968...and has been doing it since.

I got thru about a third of it. Totally unwatchable. Buchanan is worse than Noonan at pretend politics.

General Electric isn't going to have anyone on who would cause a problem with their Islamo-communist terrorist contract interests.

This is a much different tune than the one Matthews was singing after the ABC Democrat primary debate.

This is why I love Pat Buchanan. He can put people in their place better than anybody.

What is AMAZING to me is that we witness Pat destroy Chrissie Mathews and all Allah can do is insult Pat!!!!

Blue on Blue?? Roxie and Alex arguing who is thinner?!?! Allah, we get it, you dont like Pat Buchanan. Maybe you dont like republicans who can and will think on their own and actually know history. A cheap shot and pathetic.

GO PAT GO!!!!

I find Pat's populist/nativist leanings troubling, and it's uncomfortable to agree with him, but...

If Hitler invaded Hell, I would at least make a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons.

-Winston Churchill

Pat was right. The MainScream Media fancies themselves the "Fourth Estate", as if it were co-equal with the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government. To put it baldly, no candidate is compelled to submit to an interrogation by "the Sunday talk shows...", especially when they've shown themselves to be anything but the objective journalists to which Chrissie pretends.

Unfortunately, Pat didn't enumerate the sort of questions that have been asked of Gov. Palin that are never asked of male politicians. For that, I think we need a montage edited together and uploaded to YouTube.
