The Double Standard Express rolls on.

It does feel like morning in America.

Then I have to pause. I will not drink the Kool Aid of any politician. She is inspiring and I don’t think she is like the others but… I need to see her over time. I will not swoon.

One thing I think may stick:

Obama has spent his time in government office writing books about himself. He is 47 years old, lived a somewhat different life than most… but not very exceptional. Yet he has written TWO books of self adoration.

How does his life warrent TWO books. Isn’t there any other subject he feels passionate about? Only his own life? And nothing to show for his work in community or government. Nothing. But two books about his favorite subject.

And I am thinking about the points in the speech as much as the woman who gave it. That is a good sign.

Open the conversation discussing the question of MSM double-standard; the Edwards comparison is the best one to bring up with folks when illustrating MSM bias. While the Obama Kool-Aid and Jedi mind trick may close their minds to any argument based on the puff treatment Glibama has gotten, everyone who actually follows the news at all knows about Silky’s pecadillo and the media’s shameful, in the tank, complicity…

After that, via a segue based on bemoaning Elizabeth’s public humiliation, you move on to the MSM’s shameless sexism when covering Hillary…

From there, it’s back to Silky, with something like:

“Yea that phoney Edwards, even though he spent his whole time in the senate running for president, and lacked any other real political experience, when he was anointed Kerry’s running mate in 2004 the sexist MSM didn’t talk about his lack of experience…”

This will give you the logical progression to steer the discussion towards the Dali-bama at long last, with something like:

“Y’know, that fella Barack Obama kinda seems to have spent his whole time in the senate runnin’ for president too…”

And then, you’re MONEY…

Not exactly, but close. Palin will run effective interference for McCain, keeping team Obama busy, while McCain drives ahead with the Presidential Platform.

The kind of people you want perhaps to have in your community.

But not having any say in how your run your life.
