The DNC forgot what people really think about public humiliations of children. In the back of everyone’s mind, the thought occurs; if they can hurt her, I’m next. Americans don’t put up with abuse.

Remember that before you judge or poke fun at Sarah Palin. She’s not the candidate whose daughter messed up. She’s the candidate who didn’t get rid of the mess.

Pretty much sums up how liberals regard human life. How can these people sleep at night? Is nothing sacred to these A-holes?

I liked her approach.

Therefore, I see Meg Whitman’s response in this interview as being appropriate.

Let the readers and viewers across America decide how Governor Palin is being treated by the media. Whether they call it sexism or elitism or liberalism, I think they’ll see the media as outrageously biased.

And what article would that be? Would it be the one from today where she wrote of the Palin pick:

The choice of Sarah Palin IS a Hail Mary pass, the pass the guy who thinks he has a good arm makes to the receiver he hopes is gifted. Most Hail Mary passes don’t work. But when they do they’re a thing of beauty and a joy forever.

So where does her off-the-mike comment contradict this? Reread the article if you’re confused. Noonan’s position essentially seems to me to be cautious optimism about Palin. If she’s cautiously optimistic I wouldn’t expect her to hold the firm position that McCain picked the most qualified candidate.
Now certainly she detests with strong language the idea of a narrative candidate and that issue isn’t covered in her piece one way or the other. I suppose you could argue a sin of omission on her part, but other than that I don’t see a contradiction.
