Many years ago SNL did a skit about Ronald Regan featuring Phil Hartman as a doddering Gipper when strangers where in the Oval Office and a brilliant mastermind when he was alone with his staff. I’m sure the SNL folks thought they were being cute, as if to say, “Yeah, get real, he actually is a dunce” when they actually portrayed what history eventually demonstrated: that Reagan was remarkably intelligent.

Same thing here. It may not have been her intention to do so, but Lisa Nova paid a great compliment to Sarah’cuda in much the same manner that Hartman did to Dutch Reagan.

I think this whole “He didn’t vet her!!” argument has the potential to backfire spectacularly.

If Sarah Palin bombs tonight, or in the debates, or on the campaign trail… then Mcain-Palin is through, and would have been even without the media spin. If she doesn’t, Americans will have made their own decision that she is good enough.

If that happens… the notion that Senator McCain was reckless to pick her will be laughable, and instead the impression will be that he can make great and surprising choices, even on the fly when he seems to be shooting from the hip. That’s a very positive image.

Essentially, the media has just backed the Obama camp (against their will, I suspect) into a position where whatever bounce McCain gets (positive or negative) from selecting Sarah Palin as a running mate will be greatly amplified.

Given the underlying pro-Democratic currents this year, and the trailing position McCain’s had all year, that’s a huge boost for the McCain campaign.

Karl Rove’s media mind-control beams seem to be continuing to function perfectly.

I’m not female, but I did. The article is dishonest and blatantly biased. It’s entirely based on a poll from the Garin-Hart-Yang group- a Democrat research company. The article claims that women are “deserting” the Republican party, with zero evidence to back it up- they merely include a poll that indicates women are more likely to vote Obama than McCain. Women favoring Democrats over Republicans is nothing new.

It is only in the minds of Hollywood and the MSM that Obama us qualified to be the president or anything else for that matter. It’s called “The Leader of the Free World” for a reason. And it can’t be left to an unqualified amateur. By the way, never found MAD TV very funny, a little to vulgar for my tastes.
