I forgot to mention this when Palin was chosen, there was just too much going on at once, but if you watch the Jib Jab ‘time for some campaigning’ animation – you can see the people on McCain’s straight talk express.

First is McCains best bud Lieberman, then McCain, and Cindy.

And higher up – Romney, and then Palin. Followed by the others. I think Huck was further back. So – it’s just amusing to see these people put her ‘higher on the list’ as they did. Not that they knew, but just how it turned out was amusing.

I really thought it was going to be Romney. He would bring all his voters, and a VP with solid economic experience, being the governor of liberal Mass. with appeals beyond republicans.

The early reports was that Palin wasn’t being vetted – but as it turned out, she was, and they were keeping it secret.

Yes they did up until the point that NY cast their votes and Hillary as their highest elected official threw all the votes to Obama and then called to invoke the rule of nomination by acclamation which meant all the remaining individual votes by States were not necessary. The all just yelled out yea or nay. That’s the act that really infuriated many of the Hillary supporters.

I thought I could not be more excited about Sarah Palin while I was listening to her speech, but when the camera on MSNBC zoomed in on little Piper holding Brig–she suddenly heavily licked her hand and used it to smooth down Brig’s unruley hair– I absolutely fell in love with that family.

What was that thing they (RNC) did at the end of the night? Where each state said a little speech then cast a vote…they didn’t do that at the DNC.
That’s not what they call casting a vote is it? You mean that the RNC was allowed to cast votes, but what about the DNC weren’t they allowed???

The number that stuns me is 86% approval rating in Alaska…figure 10% of people are nuts, that leaves 6% that don’t like her? 6%, has there ever been a politician with that kind of approval ratings?
If you took a poll in your church I doubt the pastor would get any higher.
