Jesse Jackson used a racial epithet and a street term for male genitalia about Senator Barack Obama during a conversation he thought private in a Chicago television studio. The mics were open. The tape was rolling. The stuff wound up on, naturally, the Bill-O the clown hour. Loss in the foofery (ph) about Jackson‘s language; actual news organizations have rules against using such material on the air. If a guest says he‘s planning to killing somebody or if he says anything while running for president, that‘s different. Otherwise putting the recording on the air is a far worse offense than whatever was put on the air could have been. It‘s called eavesdropping.

Moral? Imagine the right-wing Armageddon-like reaction if it had been a friend of John McCain‘s saying something similar about him and we had run the surreptitious tape here on COUNTDOWN.

So, Peggy. Is it still over?

Yikes! Get down, she isn’t shooting blanks!

She is just another establishment journalist who is offended by Gov. Palins selection.

Maybe this won’t work like so many experts are saying. But at least it was better than the alternatives (Giuliani, Mitt, Ridge, Lieberman).

Gov. Palin hit a grand slam. It isn’t the game winner, but it scored some runs.

All of her BS boring touchy-feely columns are all about narrative. That’s all this talentless hack-ette does. Maybe she’s mad another woman is now living it. I never understood the unearned hype over this woman. Glad the rest of you are finally seeing the light on this human cauldron of fertilizer.

Palin didn’t just get handed a sheaf of paper with instructions to “read this out loud”…..she was intimately involved. All serious figures are – it’s how the job gets done right.

The tone and style of that speech was 100% Palin. A professional speechwriter most likely (although not necessarily – there are people that DIY) massaged the entire piece to sculpt it for maximum effect.

This “Palin didn’t write the speech” murmur is yet another underhanded attempt to slur her competencies. Every serious politician employs speechwriters….yet we never have this fact shoved under our noses when there’s a johnson in the underpants……curiouser and curiouser.

It seems that some cannot seem to see it that way. As for me, I adore her and anyone who says she is not a real conservative has not read any of her books or followed her career at all. So let’s just drive her completely out of the party! Off with her head!

Another thing I find curious: why denigrate republicans in assuming we can’t “do” narrative like the other side. Like, we excel in one-dimensional politics and cannot go toe-to-toe with mock-intellectual nuance thrown at us day and night? please.

Fact is, if we wanted a “narrative,” we managed to get it…and a real one at that.

And how stupid could these people be not to realize that since the jesse jackson thing no conservatives mike has been turned off at cnn and msnbc until they were in their limo on the way home.
