Ladies, I got news for you. The main reason the men of the Democratic party keep tossing out “But they will overturn Roe v. Wade” when they think you might be wandering away from the party line is because those same men are irresponsible and selfish, and they want to have their cake and eat it, too, if you get my meaning. If you have an abortion, they don’t have to pay child support. Think about it. It’s not you or your reproductive rights they really care about. It’s their wallet! Really, why should they? It’s a free love world now. Who cares what you do as far as they’re concerned? Plus there’s the “I don’t want a commitment, get married” thing too. And you fall for it every time. You’re the ones that are being subjugated by men, not conservative women. And, no, I’m not saying every man is like that. I’m not attacking all men, just the Democratic party men who are so concerned that you don’t lose your right to abort their baby.

The second part of this theme is that, more likely than not, with all of the problems in this country and around the world, the last thing McCain and Palin are going to do when they get into office is try to overturn Roe v. Wade. That’s just silly! There are too many more important things to accomplish. I’m not belittling the whole issue of abortion here. What I’m trying to get across is you are being used, and you don’t even realize it. But we out here who watch and listen, we know. We see it. Start thinking about your country with your minds and not your reproductive organs for a change.

Who said they needed protection? I agree they are not thin skinned people. I don’t remember either of them ever being rude to anybody though. Goes a long way in my book. That’s all I’m saying.

Absolutely. Rick Steves has all of the answer. I used his book to find a potty near the Pantheon in Rome.

That’s one more person than Barry’s actually made life better for, at least not using criminal means, that is.

I’m learning that AP and Ed are not made of glass, so they are not easily broken by harsh criticism. They certainly don’t hesitate to speak their mind(s). Why should we? As long as the exchange is clean and above-the-belt, what’s the beef? Why are you so protective of those who need no protection?

Absolutely. Rick Steves has been to hundreds of Bed and Breakfasts in Europe, so he has unimpeachable foreign policy credentials. And he’s on PBS, so he must be smart and intellectual and stuff.

They are saving her good stuff for the debates. When Biden begins pontificating about his foreign experience…has he faced the Russians and told them to back off? Well the routine of an Alaskan Governor is to keep those jackals off of our fishing grounds. They are constantly probing our defenses up there, looking for a weakness. Biden faces our enemy from 6,000, Palin faces our enemy’s from 60 miles.
Alaska is our first defense against Russia, Delaware is not.

I just wish that he would have brought up Obama’s lack of travel also. Obama’s lack of travel retort is so obvious.

I’m sure Barry will hearken back to his days on the Harvard Law Review and his days as a Community Organizer, to pull us through the inevitable Obama 9/11.

That’s one key to being a successful executive–being able to ride herd over the cabinet, communicate strategy, resolve conflicts, snuff out petty fueds, fire the underperformers. The President needs to be sharp enough to know when the advice he is getting is good and when it isn’t.

At some point voters will make this decision about Palin. It won’t be tonight, but maybe during a future interview where she’ll, hopefully, convey that she is a quick study with a sharp mind who can call BS on guys who are expert in their areas.

I saw Quinn running her mouth yesterday on CNN about Governor Palin’s family responsibilities. Where does Sally Quinn get her moral authority to talk about anyone else’s family? Why wasn’t she more concerned about family when she was a Washington Post columnist and she was having an adulterous affair with her then-boss (and now husband), the married-with-children Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee? I bet the first Mrs. Bradlee would have a few things to say about Sally Quinn and her moral high horse on “family” matters. What a hypocrite.
