I watched the RNC last night with my twelve-year-old daughter. It’s her first convention and she thought Fred was awesome. Good taste, she has.

I am grateful that the RNC put these stories out there. I watched a great deal of the Democrat’s convention, and I do not recall any such gesture to our troops (I could be wrong). That says a lot about both parties. And now I have to go find a tissue.

I disagree with alot of what McCain has done and said, but I have tremendous respect for what he has sacrificed for our country.

Whether he wins this election or not, he truly is one of America’s great heros and a true patriot.

That was a fantastic reminder of the difference between John McCain and Obama. A stark difference…

As a former resident of the great city, St Paul, MN… please give it the respect it deserves. Fred was speaking from the Xcel Arena in ST PAUL, MN. He was not speaking from Minneapolis last night. Believe me, people from the twin cities know the difference.

The comparison between John McCain and the O! couldn’t have been clearer Tuesday nite. Look at the caliber of the people who stood up and attested to the character of John McCain compared with Denver last week.

While I am not naive enough to believe much of anything that any politician says, last’s nights speeches demonstrated a level of sincerity and conviction that I have never before witnessed in any campaign. In contrast to overtly scripted dog and pony show last week and it’s parade of hypocrites going back on their prior bashing of Obama, the Republicans outdid themselves.

I fear, however, that our American Idol culture will by showmanship over sincerity and speeches over quality, character and achievement.
