The Dem party has been hijacked and stretched far left, we know this. We also know the more fringe the left becomes, the more the common values, the traditional American values, are left behind for freakish causes carried out in the most un-American of ways for all to see and hear. According to the new gallup poll, Obama has the support of 81% of Hillary’s backers with 65% of saying with certainty that they will vote for him versus 16% who would vote for McCain. I think his base is solid enough and there isn’t going to be any mass defects to McCain’s side. The whole PUMA angle was overplayed by the MSM looking for drama.

They want McCain under the “least worst” theory and in many ways so do I. Maybe for no other reason than to provide some kind of checks and balances in our government. Dems control congress already and I know that absolute power corrupts absolutely. I think this must be the reason I find myself voting for the same candidate as these people. The answer is yes, we’ll take their votes, we need every vote we can get!

the dudesblog: Well at least last night C-SPAN did run coverage of the anti-war rally there in St. Paul. I watched for awhile, and I can tell you that amore comical group of losers would be hard to find. The one that really cracked me up was the woman who was head of Welfare Rights(what that has to do with the war is beyond me, but whatever…)

She was complaining about starving people in America and food bank shortages. She herself is morbidly obese.

WTF is Carly Fiorina doing as a McCain official? This woman has been a FAIL in every CEO job she had, driving Lucent to bankruptcy and then nearly ruining Hewlett-Packard. She’s living proof that women can be like other CEO’s, once in the club, you get rewarded for your failures with golden parachutes and even BETTER jobs?

Last I saw she was working for the UN, an appropriate place for her. Hope she doesn’t end up in any important job in the McCain administration. I’m not impressed at all with the people McCain surrounds himself with, which is why I was SHOCKED that Palin was selected.

That’s pretty fucking impressive, you know, that she has antagonized her party to the point that they despise her. And her ratings are still in the 80s.

This is an object lesson that shows where the power really is: with the people. As apathetic as our political process seems, from time to time little rays of democracy like this appear and strike most pols absolutely mute. They know she does not care what happens to them as a party. But they can’t complain without exposing their self-interests. So they shut up, or flip-flop to ride (in this case) her coat-tails.
