There is a chance that US Senator Biden is showing a bit more respect towards the Governor of Alaska because someone, potentially the Governor of Delaware, reminded US Senator Biden that (the 100 US) Senators rank slightly below (the 50 State) Governors, due to:
– exclusivity (100 is less exclusive than 50)

– the reporting structure (Governors report only to the people of their state)

– the fact that when a US Senator leaves office (not due to retirement or an election reversal) it is the Governor of the state who may provide in interim replacement. Usually, the replacement is someone whit verifiable credentials.

Note: all of these things are usually taught in (or before) 8th grade, so this is more of a General Knowledge / Qualification for Office test than an IQ test.

From my quick review of Delaware vs Alaska, Delaware has an operating budget of about 4 billion dollars whereas Alaska’s is close to 8 Billion dollars (with nearly ten billion dollars in revenues) exclusive of the construction budgets of both states. Arkansas’ state budget is only 4.3 billion dollars today (imagine what it was when Billary were in charge of that state). Not bad Sarah.

Maybe it’s me, but after watching the video, it looks (and sounds) as if Biden just twisted his words around and meant to compliment Palin by inferring that being Governor is no “small” feat.

Easy.
1. With the exception of the minimum wage increase, all the domestic accomplishments that the Democrats are patting themselves on the back for passing were Bush initiatives.
2. Foreign policy- McCain proposed the surge, Bush took up the mantle, Obama opposed it… and now Anbar is turned over and we have a plan for troops to come home with victory. Everyone but Obama and MoveOn.org know that the surge worked.
3. McCain opposed Bush on all the issues people are pissed about, including Iraq. Face facts- almost everyone supporting going into Iraq, then rightfully called it for the mess that it was. McCain is the guy who called it first and lead the charge to successfully fix it.
4. Obama votes either down the party line or not at all. Period. Where is this CHANGE he speaks of? The one thing that he inevitably links CHANGE to is Bush policies… which are over in January even in Obama loses.

What nobody seems to have mentioned yet, is that Obama, when selecting a VP, chose someone strong in an effort to make up for his weaknesses. McCain, when selecting a VP, chose someone who doesn’t really add to any weakness (except maybe to social cons who didn’t believe him), he chose someone that looks a little thin resume-wise, showing that he doesn’t need a lot of help. Does this speak to their respective self-images?

Well, I was going to blog about this but decided to toss in my question in here. When Biden said that “Children are off limits” why did he say that? But I’ll probably have to rely on Occam’s Razor and it’s because doing so (attacking the children) will only continue to backfire big time against the O/B ticket. No? Or does it have to do with Palin’s support for abstinence before marriage education and that Biden at one time in his senatorial career also supported abstinence education, of which I believe, there was a bill to help pay for that about decade earlier? Can anyone confirm that one?

I guess if “it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Yes the Dems are hanging themselves on this and other issues. I don’t think it shows lots of confidence to jump through hoops and do all the research to debunk, just because of an unsubstantiated accusation/rumor. Let the leftists do their own work and let it sit out there until they debunk their own rumors.

Obama didn’t jump through hoops on the birth certificate thing. He let the right make fools of themselves for a long time before someone debunked it. He’ll hold that ace in the hole until needed.

Make your accuser provide the evidence (as long as your “in the right”). In the meantime, ignore it. But after the fact McCain’s camp should be all over the media morons for their lies, each and every time. That’s what I haven’t seen.

…and Mr. O picked a running mate who himself became an “insider” when Mr. O was a callow 11-year-old….
