The effect is cacophonous, to the point where some people might simply throw up their hands, decide it’s not worth trying to parse what’s true, what’s false, and what’s important, and conclude that she’s dubious because, well, the media certainly seems to think she is and they’re a reliable enough proxy.

As opposed to the opposite. As opposed to deciding that there must be something to this lady if she’s got the entire media flailing around like this. But of course Mitchell would never say that…

It must be downright harrowing for some of them to figure out they’ve lived their lives based on lies, after an abortion or two under their belt and a looming middle- to old-age without a family of their own.

That kind of pain would probably makes some of them want to doubledown rather than reassess. They have my sympathy, actually.

That’s what I think too! I always think there is desperation in the way they talk… Like they are trying to cover the guilt they feel.

They are trying to get everyone to tell them it was not really a baby but in their heads there is a loop telling them it was a baby, their baby, and they killed it.

And once you have something like that going on in your head how do you deal with others who are surrounded by a loving family. Maybe the kids are the same age yours would have been….

I really feel sorry for these women who were so convinced they were doing something sophisticated and modern…and find their lives empty. And try to force others to validate their decision.

This bitter hag is another reason KP should join our side.

The fact that their number one is having palpitations over our number two is revealing. And their jealousy that comes from Palin carrying a pure American authenticity so effortlessly must be frustrating. Simple reason? No media hype or spin is required when you’re not an empty suit.

Simply put, if you are a candidate you have two choices- campaign with an eye toward victory understanding that there are going to be sleazy stories about those closest to you or spend all your campaign time defending your family.

I agree, but I also remember what happened to John McCain in 2000 with the half-breed love child crapola about the adopted daughter etc. He tried to just ignore it and got chewed up….

Everytime I think I’ve heard every pathetic excuse why she won’t/can’t/shouldn’t win somebody has to go and say something even more ludicrass.

Obviously this gal was the perfect pick otherwise there wouldn’t be this much negative attention to her from the media.

If anything, the media lemmings have probably steered quite a few people toward the speech who might have tuned-in otherwise.

I’m hoping for a righteous smackdown and move on from there.

For instance. How do we know Bristol did not use birth control and it failed.

How do we know Bristol and Levi did not plan this child
How do we know the engagement was not before the they got pregent.
How do we know Bristol and Levi where not modern day Romeo and Julet?

We don’t know but we have just allowed the narriative of the Left to take hold that it was an accident because the Lady did not practice birth control. I know many 17 and 18 year olds that are in love and want to get married. Why are we allowing the media to paint this as a mistake, an accident, a failure of Gov Palin? We do not know the story. there could be a great love story behind this marriage and coming birth. Yet we cede the high moral ground to the leftwards and Allah because of why?

Wrong. mitchell is the American equivalent of the politboro members that drove in limos by lines of people waiting to buy toilet paper and marveled at the equality. The cable networks and powers that be at the dnc are full of them. This is not going to let up. They have Palin in their sites and it’s going to get ugly. The best thing mccain can do is put Palin on the news shows with these lowlifes and let America see through these lowlifes.
