I think it’s deplorable to use the example of ONE teenage girl to make any sort of point on sex ed. It’s insulting to the intellect of everyone watching. And if they don’t think it comes off as a thinly veiled attack on Palin then they are complete fools.

This has the potential to really backfire on the MSM.

I’m sick of hearing this “blame” garbage!
The young woman is having a baby END OF STORY. The media gave more respect to the clown Patrick Kennedy who got himself drugged up and drove like Stevie Wonder through downtown DC.

Are we going to start going after Dems because their children to keep strict adherence to the platform their parents hold?

What this shows is the ABSOLUTE adherence to family values and commitment. The libs and left are pissed because it shows the courage and commitment the Palen’s and her daughter have to Family, Family Values and Life and they hate it.

Thank you for posting the Kristol-Kondracke clip. I watched that live yesterday and couldn’t believe Mort Kondracke could sink so low. While I disagree with him on many issues, up until yesterday I thought he was a decent man. I was so glad Bill Kristol fired back. As another commenter pointed out on a different thread, people like Mort are under the misguided impression that every pregnancy that has ever taken place was planned and expected. It’s not as if birth control has ever been known to fail, right? Regardless, his speculation as to whether or not Bristol and her boyfriend used protection was absolutely outrageous.

I am going to assume that Alaska is like any other state and that Palin’s daughter was exposed to as much graphic sex-ed and how-to texts as any other student anywhere.

If this actually turns out to be the case then this is just another example of the failure of these programs.

With or without school led sex ed, I think Palin’s daughter knew that without a condom, she could get pregnant. Teens are notariously impulsive. I had sex ed in school and I learned nothing that I didn’t already know. Is there really anything being taught in schools today that kids don’t know? My guess is that they could teach the class themselves. Every 16 or 17 year old knows that sex can lead to a baby and every 16 or 17 year old thinks in the heat of the moment that it won’t happen to them. The family is sticking together and loving each other unconditionally and that is something that isn’t taught in school. The media needs to back off this girl. It is only going to help McCain, but it comes at too high a price.

QFT- McCain has been one step ahead for the entire GL so far. The media and Democrats have done everything in their power to write him off, but he keeps coming out with a new wrinkle each week… then the S-Bomb on Friday.

The announcement today was clearly planned in advance to try and cut down on it’s impact. Plus, by doing through issuing a statement, the talking heads can only spin senseless webs of gossip about it.

But I still say they need to get Sarah in front of a camera ASAP. She needs to be seen in a leadership role and a press conference tomorrow would be ideal. Like I said- updates on hurricane relief efforts and RNC schedule… take a few questions. The media will ignore the hurricane and RNC and swoop in like vultures. Even if she simple says- “that was addressed in my statement yesterday and the rest is a private, family matter” she wins HUGE. Redirect back on topic and deftly handle softballs on the weather and RNC schedule.

Issue is over that fast and she comes making the entire media pool her bitches while smiling.
