There’s a porta-potty out front of the construction site down the road from my suburban house.

In the past few days, I’ve seen the mailman, a UPS driver, a couple of bike riders and a dog walker stop to use it.

Yeah, I used it.

You’re probably right that some would, but I think very few. It’s not completely analogous, but I saw very little jeering when Al Gore’s son was busted for speeding and drugs. I certainly didn’t make fun of it–we all know nice families who’ve had to deal with a young’un’s misdeeds or mistakes, and we all hope that with maturity and repentance, a kid can redeem himself.

Also I agree completely with Bishop, re: alphie.

Mistake? That’s what you call Ted Kennedy’s decision to save himself and leave the woman passenger in his car to drown, so that he could go back to where he was staying, sleep off his drunkenness, and call a lawyer?

Driving off the bridge was a mistake. Everything Kennedy did after that was deliberate — and deliberately evil.

Until right now I was of the opinion that alphie should be allowed to stay here in the interest of differing opinions and comedy relief.

No longer. That last comment was disgusting and I just emailed Ed to excise the tumor that is alphie from this site.

There is a police report of Laura’s accident available on line. I suggest you read it. There was no alcohol involved and she didn’t leave the scene. Argue all you want that Teddy wasn’t drunk, but there’s no disputing that he left the scene. Class stays, cowards leave.

The difference is, If Obama’s daughter got pregnant we wouldn’t know about it because he would force her to kill it and have an abortion, because he would be afraid that it would hurt his career.. BIG DIFFERENCE
