Dammit Maverick, as much as I disagree with some of your policies, you're starting to grow on me. I'm starting to believe that you want to do some reformin', like old Teddy Roosevelt.

but then again, it might be the beer I'm consuming.

But the Pantsuit is suffering more than anybody. First, her “inevitable” carpet is pulled right out from under her. Now, there’s a new sheriff in town. A woman who’s younger, prettier, and more experienced in things that really count. She doesn’t have a closet full of skeletons and a 50% negative rating. And she’s sucking all the limelight away. Oohh! That’s gotta hurt.

She's thinking farther down the road than that. She's thinking 2012.

It's not you. I think the most important and underreported aspect of the Palin pick is the weight it had taken off McCain's shoulders. I think it is in the WaPo story today, saying that McCain was growing tired of running as the "wise old experienced guy." That's not how he sees himself. It's no wonder he was so listless on the stump.

Now he's back to being Maverick. I think he and his whole campaign have been given a 200-volt jolt of energy by Sarah Palin.

Would you rather he said: Now look you guys, I think you should both take a deep breath. I realize Russia invaded a sovereign nation, but still...can't we all just get along?

That might work for Obama and the retards who worship him. It doesn't work for me. Contributions or not, McCain made the right call.

Unless, of course, you support Russia's invasion of Georgia.

SARAH BARRACUDA MAKES A SLAM DUNK!
No, actually, a Skyhook:

It took 19 years for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's opponents to realize that there is no way to defend that shot, from the moment it left his fingers it was headed downward toward the basket; touching the ball was goaltending, an automatic two points, statistically recorded as a made basket. Touching him as well just provided an "extra point" attempt. Only in his final season did his opponents stop trying to block it; allowing his season field-goal percentage to fall below .500 for only time in his career.

Yeh, that gas pipeline that the Canucks wanted even more the she did…?

So they could expedite movement of their gas to the US.

Good one, Damiano…!

She’s one helluva closer…!

So, mutually beneficial international trade deals are now a bad thing?

Hmmm... let's think about this.

Our illustrious Federal government has supported ban on our country producing our own energy for decades. A feat of utter genius only surpassed by the election of a Democratic Congress who has added 2 days to the work week in order to achieve exponentially less than the Do-Nothing-Congress they were elected to replace. Highlights of this astounding progress have been highlighted by passing important resolutions like "Watermelon Day" and "Funeral Director Appreciation Week", initiations on the critical issues like legalizing pot and irrelevant Executive Authority hearings (not to be confused with a legitimate impeachment hearing... that would have required actual evidence. All the while they have patently avoided discussion or vote on secondary issues like budget appropriations (paying for Federal programs is sooo overrated. Why do that when you can create new ones that you can't pay for?) and energy policy (and the 74% of Americans who are so disillusioned to think that this is important). It's a good thing that they banned voting on anything relevant, otherwise they may have had to postpone their 5 week vacation, which was sorely needed after 8 weeks of work this year.

Really! What was that silly woman in Alaska thinking! The absurdity of creating an agreement to procure energy from a nation that is NOT trying to blow up our nation! Only an inexperienced soccer mom would think that increasing the resources of the #1 energy producing state in the nation and adding to our country's overall energy resources would be a good thing. Why would anyone create hundreds of jobs and billions in revenue on a forgotten glacier of a state anyhow? Doesn't she know that the only thing that lives in AK are moose, reindeer and caribou? Polar bears don't need jobs, energy checks and budget surpluses! What polar bears DO need is for us to pass protection laws for them so that they can continue to breed like rabbits. Polar bears need us to protect ANWAR so that they can move into that barren wasteland after their already robust population exceeds the habitats were they actually live.

Yeh, that gas pipeline that the Canucks wanted even more the she did…?

So they could expedite movement of their gas to the US.

Good one, Damiano…!

She's one helluva closer...!

Hussein and his flunky are scratching their heads saying, What the hell happened?" But the Pantsuit is suffering more than anybody. First, her "inevitable" carpet is pulled right out from under her. Now, there's a new sheriff in town. A woman who's younger, prettier, and more experienced in things that really count. She doesn't have a closet full of skeletons and a 50% negative rating. And she's sucking all the limelight away. Oohh! That's gotta hurt.

About Biden's deferment....

In "Promises to Keep," a memoir that was published last year and became an instant best-seller after he was tapped as Obama's running mate, Biden never mentions his asthma, recounting an active childhood, work as a lifeguard and football exploits in high school.

hmmmmmmmmm.....?

Hey Michael- would you mind channeling MB4 again?

Maverick’s answer to Chris Wallace about her foreign policy judgment is the best he can do for the moment but patently unconvincing until we hear from Palin herself.

I disagree. I think he made a strong case and highlighted the simple fact that "judgment" is about making decisions, not pandering to supportive audiences for the purpose of political expediency. Further, he debunked that ridiculous counterargument that the left has been pushing for 17 months and demonstrated that "experience" has little to do with time in office and has everything to do with accomplishments.

His contrasts were spot on and could be taken endlessly further.

- She has negotiated mutually beneficial business deals with Canada, Obama has had his picture taken with European leaders for the first time in 3 years on the Senate and as Chairman of the never-convened committee. The only reason for the trip was, admittedly, a campaign tour.

It goes on and one, Obama's entire political career has consisted of nothing but running for subsequent offices. I would put Palin's accomplishments in 20 months as Governor up against even McCain's Senate resume.

Another Maverick home run, IMO.

So, it’s perhaps most accurate to describe her as <strike>a “Libertarian-Alaska Independence-Republican.”</strike> SARAH'CUDA

Simplified it for you.

I'd suggest that the whole mentality of those who were raised and live in Alaska defies the norms of the lower 48.

Hey do you realize that whomever wins this election comes with some firsts beyond race or gender? From the Dems- first President from an OCONUS state. From the GOP- first POTUS born in a territory, first VP from an OCONUS state.

These geographical quirks are meaningless but fun nonetheless.
