Yep. I was planning to vote reluctanctly “against” Obama, but now I can vote enthusiastically “for” McCain/Palin. Still concerned about McCain’s RINO/Maverick tendencies, but I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the campaign from Biden’s pick through Palin’s. When it became obvious Obama wouldn’t pick Hillary, I wondered “what’s he doing?” I was worried McCain would double down and go Lieberman. When the Palin pick came out, I was ecstatic.

She’s not “the One,” a la Obamessiah. But, she is a red-blooded conservative from all I’ve seen. Lives the pro-life message, knows energy policy from the inside out, “mavericky” enough to quit a board and bring ethics complaints on members of her own party, cuts taxes, and is an outdoorswoman/hunter/fisher.

That, my friends, is a winning VP selection.

Had a very few moments to sum up my favorable impressions on the McCain/Palin ticket.

The average Joe is tired of looking at Obama and Bidens sour puss.

It will be a welcome change to learn about Ms. Palin’s …err.. accomplishments.

This poll, the first to show reaction from Obama’s speech…

Is it just me that thinks this if flawed logic? It states it’s the first to include O’s speech and Mrs. Palin. I’d like to think he didn’t get a bounce from his speech, but the polls showed an even race on the 28th (day of speech) then a +4 for Obama on the 29th. The only significance of this Ras Report is that the ‘Cuda IPO didn’t close the gap between Maverick and O. I hope someone corrects me on this.

It’d take a hell-of-a-lot more than 150.00 to force me to watch that mess.

Hope it was worth it.

I didn’t know before I went that we would be watching the speech. The $150.00 kept me from walking out. Hey, I’m a stay-at-home mom, so yeah, it was worth it.

I just heard that Obama released a new ad saying that the Palin choice means “no change”. I’m going through an exercise in futility in trying to figure out exactly what Obama defines “change” as.

The Obama camp had those ads and sound bytes all ready to go regardless of who McCain picked. All they thought they needed was to fill in the candidate’s name (Romney? Pawlenty? Huckabee?).

They were simply caught flat-footed when Palin was named, so they went with the planned attacks even if they made no sense. Then they stepped in it big time by giving new life to the experience argument, but by arguing against Palin’s experience they also make Obama’s experience a legitimate issue. They can’t credibly argue against Palin’s experience while still argue that Obama does have the required experience.

I think this weekend you’ll see a lot of Dem scrambling as they try to figure out a line of attack. Expect the new line to be unveiled Sunday moring. One thing’s for sure, what they brought out yesterday ain’t gonna work unless Palin does them the favor of performing one gaffe after another.

After what I saw of her yesterday and viewing some of the archived clips on the Internet, I don’t see that happening. The women is solid and tough.

She’ll hold her own against Biden in the debates and if Biden sticks his foot in it (which he is entirely capable of doing) she’ll chew him up and spit him out.

Wow…that’s probably the shortest, most fantastic post I’ve ever read that just “is” the point of it all. Well done.

I would use all that money just donated to run an ad pitting Obama/Biden vs McCain/Palin on the bridge to nowhere. That would set the tone for the rest of the campaign. Team McCain needs to start mocking Obama’s and Biden’s positions and qualifications. Don’t attack, mock. Learn from uncle saul.
