Obama made the same mistake that plagued the entire Democratic convention; he ran against George Bush. He railed about the previous eight years, which certainly is de rigeur for the party out of the White House, but failed to present any clear idea of what different policies he would apply.

What you fail to understand is that Obama threw down the personal attack gauntlet (1/3 of his speech was attacking McCain’s policies and trying to tie him to Bush).
McCain had maybe two or three sentences attacking Obama (probably more praising him). When you throw out a personal attack, back it up…Obama couldn’t.
Unfortunately the link you gave me, you apparently only read a portion of it.

Obama wants to add $300B a year in spending on top of the record deficit projected for next year.

McCain wants the budget balanced in his first term.
Obama concedes he can’t do it in 2 terms.

And BTW- a recession is 2 quarters of contraction. Q2 grew at a healthy 3.3%.
