Not to mention that the number will mostly likely be revised downward once Bush & Co. leave town. NeoCons: Get shovel, dig hole, insert head.

Have you heard about McCain’s ad that will run tonight? Congratulating Obama? Now, THAT is class!

Now you can reply to that attack by saying it isn’t true, but the fact is that at some level it is true. McCain does have a sweet life–for that matter, so does Obama–but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s out of touch. The best response accepts the grain of truth within the attack and puts it in a different, more positive light.

This ad from the South Carolina Republican Party does just that. McCain has it easy, it admits, but he used to have it hard and he survived. The subtext is that although I have it hard, I can survive too.

Does anyone know what congress does? Does anyone know what the jobs entail? Or the presidency? Not many do, it would seem, watching the media and the campaigns trying to create drama over things that do not matter.

I don’t know that people in the past really knew either. But our public schools are abyssmal and which party is responsible for that?

You can bet public school kids know everything there is to know about contraception, but what, maybe 20% can identify the three branches of government?

McCain’s information is easy to come by. Many votes have been cast by him over the years.

Then you will be voting for Obama. His future picture that he paints looks pretty darn good. Money returned, lower fuel prices, lower taxes, other countries love us, our military will come home, peace, prosperity, etc.
You don’t believe that? Why? Because of his history, his background, his values shaped by his education, lack of experience, his HISTORY.
Get it? Leaders are measured by their past accomplishments, the challenges that they overcame, not by what they promise in the future.
The future means nothing, it hasn’t happened.
McCain spent 5 years overcoming unbelievable odds of surviving, and 24+ years in the senate…Obama gave a speech in 2004, and one year in the senate.
But you will vote who promises you the best future.
