Some of us Christian, conservative, pro-life, pro-gun, pro kick terorrist ass and secure the border types don’t like how Huck used our faith and his distortion of his record or his name dropping (and lying) about foreign policy advisers, etc.

No sir, Huck didn’t lie and distort Christianity. Huckabee is a man of faith and is a Christian leader, and he is not a person to hide his faith. He wears it openly and honestly. Exactly what all of us Christians should do. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ” (Romans 1:16). Mike proved he wasn’t ashamed! Do you even comprehend the challenge it is for somebody not ashamed of Christ to make it on mainstream media without being criticized by scoffers like you? It’s almost impossible! In fact, I don’t know of any politician on the national stage besides Governor Huckabee who is as comfortable and unashamed about being a Christian. See Deuteronomy 6:6-7. And what I posted about the Republican elite (not grass roots conservatives) wanting to move the Republican party to the center is a reality pal. Pay attention to the news. McCain’s the Republican nominee for crying out loud! A guy like Mike Huckabee running for President of the United States doesn’t help them reach the center. Give your head a shake and wake up!

He had been touted as a strong candidate for McCain’s veep some time ago by Robert Novak.

He is supposed to have strong economic credentials, and he is relatively young.

If you don’t want to be accused of lying, don’t lie. This is the first I’ve ever heard that Obama’s staff had anything to do with this investigation. There has never been any report of this, ever, by anyone. Why? Because it’s not true.

He is not a legislator. He comes from outside the Washington-Beltway. He has excellent legal and business credentials. He is a savvy executive. He represents excellent, scandal-free family values. He exposes Obama and Biden as the featherweights that they are.

Just for the record, The Miami Herald reports that Mason-Dixon Polling & Research says otherwise:
“About 32 percent of respondents said they’d favor McCain if he picked Romney. That’s double the number of those who said they’d be less inclined to back the ticket…. ‘They know Romney, who campaigned hard in this state,’ said Mason-Dixon pollster Brad Coker. ‘Romney looks like he gives McCain more of an edge than Biden gives Obama.’”

Huckabee does seem to be the type to let a grudge go. /sarc
