terryann – T-Paw’s kind of settling in as the uncontradicted guy, so everyone can talk about him as though it’s a done deal without coming out and saying so. The Brit Humers had also pretty much settled on T-Paw, doing a round of “well if it is T-Paw… then…”

If it’s not T-Paw, then Mav & Co have done an amazing job of misleading people. Just the massive Intrade shift tells you that the conventional wisdom has been unable to settle.

…and, oh yeah, I’d rather chew tin foil then spend more than a sentence on Bob Barr and whoever…

Intrade has Romney tanking today (dropping from 70 earlier in the day to 10 right now) and Pawlenty jumping from 20’s all day to 65 now.

Anyone but Pawlenty, PLEASE! This would be a huge mistake. A disaster for McCain. You cannot possibly get more boring than Pawlenty. And that’s the last thing the old fart McCain needs.

Andrea Mitchell said that all signs point to Pawlenty and she’s also a panelist on MTP.

I’ve never trusted anything Andrea Mitchell has said before today, so I’m not exactly taking it as gospel.

If it’s Pawlenty, onward and upward.

Yep. David Gregory said earlier on MSNBC that McCain’s VP “could appear on Sunday programs.” He’s a panelist on MTP, he should know. Andrea Mitchell said that all signs point to Pawlenty and she’s also a panelist on MTP.

I would love to see McCain on stage with Mitt on one side and Huck on the other. He could then turn, shake Romney’s hand and say, Mitt, thanks for your work on the campaign. I’m glad we put the past behind us. I’m afraid you’re not the man for the job at this time.” Then he turns to Huck. “Mike, I’d like you to be the first to welcome my running mate, Orrin Hatch!”

Then they do a closeup on Huck’s face. Then McCain says “Just kidding. Welcome aboard, Mitt!” Then someone dumps pig’s blood on Huck. Everyone is laughing and pointing. Suddenly, all the doors slam shut by themselves. Huckabee gets an intensely crazy look in his eye and the cameras fizzle out.

Or Palin would be OK I guess.

I don’t think it makes a big dif either way – reading the tea leaves of interview subjects, travel schedules, convention line-ups, etc., is fruitless because all are subject to easy revision. If Mav sez he’s my guy, then whatever has to re-arranged will be re-arranged. As for MTP in particular, T-Paw has made the rounds on the morning shows before. Not sure if he’s ever done MTP solo, but, if anybody did consider it a dead giveaway, they wouldn’t have given it away.

The rest of guests are panelists, which they can spend 10 to 15 minutes on. The bulk of time seems to be devoted to Pawlenty look at the Meet the Press home page. Again why would they highlight a relative unknown???
