Your assaults on my faith may be slam dunks of logic and reason to you, apacalypse. But from where I sit, they aren't.

I will leave it at that.

I would expect nothing less from you Cold Steel. You say, “Christ doesn’t need anyone to define who He is and how He operates.” Yet, your own LDS prophet shouts, "I am going to tell you how God came to be God." You can see no contradiction? I've exposed you as hypocrite, both you and your Mormon friends over and over and over again, but it appears you are being "willfully ignorant," because instead of acknowledging these "glaring" problems, as usual you attack me with ad-hominems. Open your eyes buddy. Wake up.

Thanks for the dissembling evasion. Also, thank you for crystallizing the nature of God for the rest of us pagans. Quit cribbing off Mike's anti-Mormon sermons your have sealed up under grandpa's still and think for yourself. You seem to string sentences together well enough, now you just need to focus on stringing coherent thought within said sentences. Try it. It might make your hat a little tighter but you'll be better for it.

I don’t even like to think about it. We are so STUPID that we would let this unknown person with who knows what background take over our government.

I hope some of you heard Glenn Beck this morning talking about william aires. It is so scary that obama hussein actually could befriend him. He is a terrible person and hates this country.
Why do we think he has all these friends who hate, hate America?
Who actually is behind him? Besides soros of course.
I don't even like to think about it. We are so STUPID that we would let this unknown person with who knows what background take over our government. Can you imagine all of these people having access to our top secrets?
If apocalys and his cohorts let mccain loose because of their jealousy (if he picks Romney) then God help us all and I hope you know who you will have to answer to. I don't think we will ever get it back. Once people are able to get all the handouts, they won't vote otherwise. There are not enough of the rest to re surge and kick the bums out.

Romney would be a disaster. Same with Lieberman. Anyone less conservative than J. McCain would make things worse. Time will tell. Tick... Tick... Tick...

Yeah, but you need to have the right God. You look around you've got the Hary Chrishnas with all there gods. Hinduism with 450 million gods. The Mormons and theirs. Which god are you talking about? According to your founder Joseph Smith there are quite a few of them:

"Here then, is eternal life -- to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priest to God, the same as all Gods have done before you, namely by going from one small degree to another, and from a small capacity to a great one. . . . (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 345-47; emphasis added)."

Dear friends, this is why Mormons are tricky and deceptive. Mormon Cold Steel said, "Christ doesn’t need anyone to define who He is and how He operates." And I would agree. Of course, He doesn't!!! That's why God left us a reliable map called the Holy Bible. Isn't that right? All you gotta do is read it, it tells you who the Lord Jesus Christ is!!! Now folks, this is good. Pay close attention here. Compare what Cold Steel says to what the founder of the Mormon church, Joseph Smith said:

"It is necessary we should understand the characte

You know I would feel better about lieberman if he had caucused with the republicans. he gave us harry reid and I can't forgive him for that. I also hope it's Mitt, but it scares me a little because of people like olaf and apocalys and of course huck who will continue to stir the pot. ed rollins is a nothing. imagine picking him to run your campaign? then there's the little kicker who followed huck everywhere, who threatened to kick Romney.
When you think of it, huck ran a sleazy campaign. everyone talks about the little money he had, but he had all the churches working for him, lending him buses etc., etc. I bet none of that was accounted for.

If security sweeps are the giveaway, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may be on the brink of being selected as Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) vice president.
The obligatory SS story.

But I sure hope there’s fire. Only way I’ll sleep at night.

You would think that Huckabee and his team would refrain from criticizing people on McCain’s short list … at least for the next 48 hours …
eaglesdontflock on August 28, 2008 at 11:33 AM

That would give them credit for intelligence and honor that is obviously lacking in them.

McCain is handling this brilliantly right now. Who is even talking about Obama? And this, his big day.

I am quite impressed at how well McCain has kept in the news with no real news for the entire week! Do you hear any actual news? Nope. But here I am posting about McCain. He has more political gifts than I had formerly believed. He may actually be a decent President.

petunia, well said, both about Huck's lack of honor and McCain's nack for staying in the limelight despite "The One's" convention this week.

McCain seems to be getting better every day, and if he adds Romney to his ticket, he will continue his smart streak and will win this election!

So, Romney is in and out in the same post. Is there any purpose to spreading these rumors other than to make political blogs look silly?

I’ll ask this again. Wasn’t Ridge a complete disaster as the head of HS? Didn’t he come off as a complete bumbling idiot? What could he possible bring to the table?

IrishMcPundit on August 28, 2008 at 11:05 AM

His performance at HS is the only knowledge I have of him, and he always looked and sounded like the he thought the Grim Reaper was in his 2001 Nissan Armageddon, cruising the country. (I think it was on Route 666)

He inspired zero confidence during scary time - not exactly what real presidential leadership needs to be.

Please Mac, not Ridge.

I don’t know who you’re praying to? Um, well uh, as long as you’re praying to the good Lord Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible (and recognize it as the only authority - no other books) and agree that “there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” (1 John 5:7). That’s the Trinity. Then, I accept and thank you very much. I appreciate it. Amen.

Huck Manager Still Campaigning Against Romney
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 9:47 AM
Via the NYT, former Huckabee campaign manager Ed Rollins had this to say about a possible Romney veep pick:
“Twelve houses between them, two rich guys, it’s almost like shooting fish in a bucket,” said Ed Rollins, a Republican strategist who led Huckabee's presidential campaign this year.
In fairness, it's completely possible that this could have been taken out of context. For all we know, Rollins could have prefaced it by saying lots of great stuff about Romney, and then turned to the potential downfalls of having Romney as McCain's running mate.

Of course, assuming he has noble motives, this is the trouble with being a "celebrity" consultant who wears two hats: He is an operative -- but is also a frequent TV analyst/pundit. Typically, operatives are supposed to stay on message (read, be boring), while pundits and analysts are supposed to be interesting ...

Or maybe the Huckabee team is actually trying to nix a Romney pick, which would set Romney up as the heir apparent.

Either way, this doesn't look good -- especially if McCain does pick Romney tomorrow. You would think that Huckabee and his team would refrain from criticizing people on McCain's short list ... at least for the next 48 hours ...

AP's Liz Sidoti reported: "Inside GOP circles Thursday, speculation swirled around Lieberman. It was fueled by reports that McCain's advisers had asked for additional detailed information from him, by McCain's close friendship with the 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee, and by word that Republican operatives had been told to prepare for the possibility of an "unconventional" choice.

It’s probably Ridge.
Why else go to Pennsylvania?
Ridge and Romney will be in Ohio with McCain, and McCain just spoke glowingly of Ridge.

Depend on McCain to lie to conservatives. He hates us, at least as much as we are going to wind up hating him.

No, not Ridge. He'd be as bad as Lieberman.

Romney is the only candidate who will energize the McCain ticket. I can't believe McCain would pump up a VP announcement and make it anyone else.
