The first was with reference to those brave and courageous troopers now serving.

The second referred to those who were or were not going to enlist for a chance at a “Hobson’s Choice” in the present despicable war in Iraq; that has served as a “meat grinder” for tens of thousands of our brave men and women to date.

The phrase “we all know” should set off everyone’s BS detectors. It tends to be followed with something that can’t be proven; the bald assertion that “we all know” something is a cheap ploy to hide the lack of any basis for it.

Does he know what is even tinier (in the geographical sense)? Afghanistan. Do you know what they did? They sponsored an–even tinier–organization (geographically, again) that managed to kill 3000 Americans.

It’s certainly been a roller coaster ride; public sentiment has been up and down over the long seven plus years of this despicable war.

The recent Iraqi statements; indicating they want us to move our booty’s along may have given everyone renewed hope for the rapid return of our brave young men and women…!
