Video: “Catharsis”

“You can actually feel this party splitting,” declares the Hillary nut-in-chief, overstating a case built on more than just a grain of truth. We’ll find out tomorrow night what healing sounds like — there is, after all, “a lot of pain that needs to be addressed” — but thanks to this, we already know what it smells like. As a prominent McCain supporter once famously said, “Smells like … victory.”

Tearing the party apart – Priceless.

ambuldog on August 25, 2008 at 10:28 AM

Ummm…what happens to all the PUMA’s if/when Obama wins the election, with or without them? Are they going to switch parties or create their own new one?

rotorhead on August 25, 2008 at 10:29 AM

PUMAs. Is there anything more stupid (perhaps the Swiftboaters)?

thePajamaPundit on August 25, 2008 at 10:32 AM

lol…Are these people stupid or just plain mental. I guess they never heard of the 11th commandment.

unseen on August 25, 2008 at 10:32 AM

This is very real, guys. Obama badly mishandled Hillary and as they say, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

It’ll be interesting to see how The One manages to sell himself to mainstream middle America voters and squishy centrist women voters (i.e., Hillary’s two most powerful constituent groups) during this convention cycle. I also wonder whether they’ll be serving salads at the convention made with arugula.

Outlander on August 25, 2008 at 10:33 AM

PUMA…where do I send money?

sabbott on August 25, 2008 at 10:37 AM

I doubt it. Have you seen what they’re charging for that stuff? Whole Foods probably doesn’t want to end up on the screwed vendor list.

RDuke on August 25, 2008 at 10:38 AM

I forsee the skys opening up, light shining down, and the PUMA celestial choirs will be a singing…

Your blog and your “credentials,” as it were:

A devoted husband and father of two, the Pajama Pundit has no discernible skills for employment. Aside from editing a political blog, he is a stay-at-home-dad as well as a musician, movie critic and an avid reader of adventure novels.

Hmmm…an unemployed/unemployable homebody/”musician”/movie critic/reader of adventure novels. And an Obama supporter who is not even fit to tie the shoes of any of the Swiftboat veterans (who all served in Vietnam with John Kerry).

I rest my case.

The woman needs to be checked at the door in Denver for a dagger up her sleeve and a few poisoned apples in her bag.

She’s going to go after the nomination, no matter what the current delegate count says.

She’s going to go after Obama, and his little dog Biden, too…
Fewer than half of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s supporters in the presidential primaries say they definitely will vote for Barack Obama in November, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, evidence of a formidable challenge facing Democrats as their national convention opens here today.
If this spiral continues, the People’s Republic of California could come into play.

GulfCoastBamaFan on August 25, 2008 at 10:45 AM

Obama is a lightweight POS. getting stalked and eaten by PUMA is a fitting end for that asshole.

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on August 25, 2008 at 10:45 AM

The Swiftboaters performed a valuable public service by swamping Kerry’s dinghy in 2004. Perhaps the PUMAs can do the same this year by popping Obama’s balloon.

Greg Toombs on August 25, 2008 at 10:46 AM

Nice! Though probably a trademark issue – “Obsession” would’ve worked too.

Kerry couldn’t beat Bush in 2004 with all of these folks on his bandwagon. If they stay home in November, how can Barry possibly win?

Do they have food testers at these things?

William Congreve, in The mourning bride, 1697:

As you’ll answer it, take heed
This Slave commit no Violence upon
Himself. I’ve been deceiv’d. The Publick Safety
Requires he should be more confin’d; and none,
No not the Prince’s self, permitted to
Confer with him. I’ll quit you to the King.
Vile and ingrate! too late thou shalt repent
The base Injustice thou hast done my Love:
Yes, thou shalt know, spite of thy past Distress,
And all those Ills which thou so long hast mourn’d;
Heav’n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn’d,
Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn’d.

davidk on August 25, 2008 at 10:52 AM

I think the MSM is not helping Barry with their(almost) non coverage of this. A more public airing of the problems between these two might have actually helped reduced tensions. Instead it might cause the convention to explode (bad sportsman like but I hope so).

It reminds me of when the MSM ignored the actual things that the swiftboat vets said and instead attacked the messenger. In fact they still haven’t dealt with it, hence the incorrect usage of the term “Swift Boating” If memory serves me right that election ended with Chris “Hardball” Matthews lamenting that maybe they needed to send “foriegn” corresponents to the heartland as they couldn`t believe Kerry lost.

The biased left wing media has finally jumped the shark and and I hope they keep it up!

So many dead bodies left in the wake of the Clintons. Too bad Bill wasn’t one of them, if he were out of the picture Obama could have chosen Hill for VP. Bill was the poison pill.

So who loses?

Obama, Hillary, the Democrat Party. Obama/Hillary would have made a formidable opponent. But it’s not to be.

Thanks Slick.

fogw on August 25, 2008 at 10:56 AM

“…calling it a hissy fit would be sexist”… LOL!

PUMAs seething as we speak. I was worried that Denver would end up being just another, drab Democratic convention, this gives me hope.

C’mon Barry – I know the bus has been over some really rough terrain (erm, and some really rough former allies) and that it’s getting a little shaky – but you gotta hold it together. Just long enough to cinch the nomination.

If you could throw out a couple more gaffes or maybe repeat the “deal with it” sound bites, that’d help a bunch with unifying the party and getting those annoying women to shut up and go back to the kitchen where they belong.

Your secret friend,

Karl Rove

The “Squishy centrist women voters” will probably go for Obama anyway. As you said, they’re squishy. And not to sound sexist, but they’re women and women generally go Democrat anyway.

The middle America blue-collar types are going to be mroe interesting to watch, and to see how The One tries to reach out to them. I expect a “can I get me a huntin’ license here” type gaffe sometime around mid-to-late September.

The hard-core Hillary voters will probably cross over to McCain in droves. Nothing the Messiah can do will get them back in any significant numbers.

crazy_legs on August 25, 2008 at 12:27 PM

Methinks the convention is going to be a Salad Spinner full of clashing egos, snarky smarmy comments, catfights and vile epithets behind the podium and also on the convention floor that cannot in some way escape the roving wall-to-wall coverage cameras. All that’s required is for some Code Pinker or PUMA to shove and/or throw the first punch.

Lefties want to ‘Recreate ‘68!’ and they have a perfect storm to get their wish… Inside the convention center.

Great ad, BTW!

Jack.

I don’t want to be a wet blanket but isn’t it possible, nay probable that the hystrionics we hope will appear at the democrat convention will be minimal at best.

I wasn’t around in 1968 so I don’t have a way to compare the sentiments amont democrats. I need someone who was around back then to handicap the likelihood for a major issue at the convention. Any takers?
