Olbermouth wants the Fairness Doctrine Czar throne.

jgapinoy on August 25, 2008 at 11:18 PM

Now let’s watch while Keithy’s little screwups make him add to his enemies list. We shall see the implosion of MSNBC.

MadisonConservative on August 25, 2008 at 11:18 PM

That’s not the shovel I knew.

Texas Rainmaker on August 25, 2008 at 11:20 PM

“We’ll do it live” is still the best. I did notice tonight that KO and Chris were on their best behavior. I wonder if management told them to act normal this week.

BadgerHawk on August 25, 2008 at 11:21 PM

Scarborough is the only one left that I can stomach on MSNBC and Dobbs on CNN. Fox gets more liberal by the day. Getting pretty lean out there.

Goodale on August 25, 2008 at 11:22 PM

Olbermann is such an arrogant pompous liberal ass, yet he doesn’t have the balls to invite a single guest on his show that has an opinion opposite of his. That’s because Olbermann is really just a greasy Guy Smily puppet that speaks nothing but DailyKOS rants and couldn’t debate his way out of a wet paper bag.

what poll was olbermann referring to?

Looks like Keith Olbermann is going to fire Joe Scarborough like he fired Dan Abrams. Get ready for “Morning Rosie”.

The only person less qualified than Obama for President is Olbermann for his current job.

Keith out before the end of the convention? predictions?

Ridiculous on August 25, 2008 at 11:26 PM

I have very little love for Joe, being a former constituent of ScrewYourBorough’s. But I would root for him completely to schmack Keefy, knowing he’s perfectly capable of it. Just depends how bad he wants to keep this particular cush job.

And just what poll IS Olbermann talking about?

tree hugging sister on August 25, 2008 at 11:27 PM

I was wondering why they didn’t show Joe in tonight’s coverage! Fox News or CNN please hire Joe!

On my channel guide, it lists Countdown as a “News” show. What the hell? Liberal commentary, yes. News, no. Olbermann’s faux indignation just rubs me wrong. No thrill up my leg, whatsoever.

4k78 on August 25, 2008 at 11:30 PM

I don’t think I’ve ever watched Abrams or Scarborough. But if Olberdork hates them, they can’t be all bad…

CanadianGuy on August 25, 2008 at 11:34 PM

What is it that leftwing lunatics buy anyway, besides logo t-shirts and bottled water? Why does MSNBC think the Olbermann audience is a great demographic?

RBMN on August 25, 2008 at 11:35 PM

Keith Olbermann is such a freaking douche. Joe Scarborough is the only thing that MSNBC has going for them…and Pat Buchanan but he’s only a contributor. The faces of MSNBC are Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, and now Rachel Maddow. What a bunch of crap. Keith should be careful about what he says. I know he practically runs things over there now but Joe would kick his ass.

keepinitreal on August 25, 2008 at 11:35 PM

He’s beyond arrogant pompous liberal ass.

He is a psychological case book study in something. I don’t know what, but he has serious issues.

There are 50 or 60 women in this world that are lucky he didn’t go the Ted Bundy route.

rockhead on August 25, 2008 at 11:39 PM

keepinitreal on August 25, 2008 at 11:35 PM

Buchanan’s a nut job who MSNBC only has on to prove to their viewers what nut jobs conservatives are.

BadgerHawk on August 25, 2008 at 11:40 PM

Olbermann was right though:

Obama holds a 47%-43% edge over McCain among registered voters and a 48%-45% edge among likely voters. Both leads are within the margin of error of +/—4 percentage points.

In the USA TODAY/Gallup Poll a month ago, Obama led McCain by 3 percentage points, but McCain held a 4-point lead among likely voters.

How can Gallup show a 45-45 tie, but show totally different numbers here?

lorien1973 on August 25, 2008 at 11:40 PM

Bathtub Boy! LMAO!

Keith Olbermann….my god the “man” is beyond insane. Definately has a few screws loose upstairs.

therightwinger on August 25, 2008 at 11:43 PM

I quit even turning the TV on a few years ago. The antenna busted a while back and We never noticed.

I check Drudge now, but he seems a bit opinionated on his picks of news stories. He seems anti-Iraq news now. Sheesh we are finally winning and I don’t see much of the good news there.

Where are Yon and Totten in his picks. He likes AP and the other main stream sources, but no longer will do some hard work to get the truth.

I am relying more and more on blog sites like this and others to get real news.

HOT AIR, thanks for opening up registration again.I missed out quite a while ago and am glad to be on board now.

marcboyd on August 25, 2008 at 11:43 PM

Wow!

That second shovel Joe is picking up should go right on Olby’s head a la “The Sopranos”.

Heck, if I was Joe’s brother, I’m borrowing it from Casey Anthony now and I’m on the road for Denver.

What a prick, but we already knew that.

That network is such a loser with a BIG L.

BobH on August 25, 2008 at 11:45 PM

The funny part is hearing Matthews cowering wherever he is, afraid to upbraid Olberdouche for completely screwing up his broadcast. The content of the disagreement seems irrelevant; it was a complete production screwup, and Chrissy ran and hid.

Jaibones on August 25, 2008 at 11:47 PM

Quoting polls before ANY debates is less than worthless..

Chakra Hammer on August 25, 2008 at 11:44 PM

Tell that to Al Gore. I haven’t seen a single debate on global warming.

jimmy the notable on August 25, 2008 at 11:48 PM

The polls show trends. That’s why AP posts Gallup now and again, cuz it shows Obama losing support and McCain gaining it. It’s important.

Saying “polls don’t matter” is usually done by the side that knows it’s losing.

lorien1973 on August 25, 2008 at 11:49 PM

How did Olbermann ever get this much power with MSNBC? Do people not realize that this dude is straight nuts? That he has no freaking clue what the hell he is talking about? That he has gone off the deep end over and over and over? He is a blatant ass, doesn’t care, and wants to pick a fight with everyone who doesn’t fall in lock step with him and his precious Barry Obama. Word is Olbermann and Matthews like to scissor (South Park reference) each other after their shows!!!!

Wait, so this is the beginning? Nothing before this was even borderline sycophantic?

Well crap, that’s like watching a guy juggling 5 chainsaws; then say he’s done warming up and is ready to perform.

I’m worried, but more than a bit curious… so what does Olbermann have in store when he crosses the line to his definition of “in the tank”. Like a train wreck in the making, I’m afraid I can’t turn away.

gekkobear on August 26, 2008 at 12:38 AM

He really is unbelievable.

Lay off Olbermann’s personal life, please. Even a cretin like him is entitled to a little privacy.

Sounds good to me. Too bad Olbermann himself is not above exploiting the personal lives of others.

SoulGlo on August 26, 2008 at 12:47 AM

Olbermann is that guy you knew in high school that is very insecure with himself, but tries to hide it by a facade of confidence. When he lets his frustration slip and is challenged, his natural instinct is to run away, but instead turns and argues with the most absurd facts–but people believe him because he sounds so sure. His insecurity is obvious.

Vntnrse on August 26, 2008 at 12:50 AM

Olbermann’s whole persona would not seem out of place on a bad night at SCTV.

I’m not so sure that a pinhead who deigns to sit in judgment of “the Worst Person in the World” on a daily basis deserves a pass on anything.

hillbillyjim on August 26, 2008 at 12:54 AM

I keep waiting for him to say “Jane, you ignorant slut.”

Lay off Olbermann’s personal life, please. Even a cretin like him is entitled to a little privacy.

Allahpundit on August 26, 2008 at 12:38 AM

No, he isn’t.
Olbermann is playing to an audience, an audience that wants to hear him spout a particular point of view, that wants him to go just a little bit further, each time.
He should be named and shamed, each time he indulges himself.
Except for the fact that he can’t be shamed.
He has sold himself out long ago.
The only weapon we have left now is ridicule.
So “Cry Havoc!” and let loose the dogs of mockery.

Does anyone really watch this show? I only read about what goes on over at MSMLSD via places like this or from someone else that subjected themselves to that form of torture.

Speaking of torture; do you think the CIA could use Olberman’s show as a method to get info out of the bad guys? Wonder if the Lefties would protest torture then? Hmmmm?

Mojack420 on August 26, 2008 at 2:30 AM

This evening (just got home) I drove with one of our fuel rigs to get an idea of what the drivers put up with. We dropped 8,500 gallons at a Chevron in North Texas and walked in to have the delivery signed for. Standing in line was a million buttoned Obama nut (about 19 is my guess). Peace, love, hope, change, yada yada yada buttons on her vest everwhere. She was hitting up everyone to in the station to ‘vote for change’. She turned to the driver and said something worthy of a 19yo. The driver looked at her and said he hoped her man won, then added, because his load would be worth twice as much.

There is some hope and change for ya honey! (hehehehehehe)

Whew… at least the fine reputation of Edward R. Murrow is safe.

Careful, you’ll have people thinking the loon Olbermann and Murrow are (were) in the same profession. Edward R. Murrow was a journalist, I’m not quite able to categorize Olbermann just yet; the HotAir denizens will no doubt proffer an opinion.

electric-rascal on August 26, 2008 at 3:58 AM

The driver looked at her and said he hoped her man won, then added, because his load would be worth twice as much.

Change? Load?

Funny you say that. When my firstborn was just little, and he needed a change, I’d beg off and try to con the wife into doing the unpleasant task, insisting it was her turn. I’d point to the kid and say “he’s got a load”.

I’d say the buttonized 19 yr. old might “have a load” (called Obama) as well.

electric-rascal on August 26, 2008 at 4:04 AM

NBC News will be intered amongst Chris Matthews jounralistic integrity, Dan Rather’s credibility, Walter Cronkite’s sense of decency, Barbra Walters’s dignity, and Keith Olberman’s career in the Ash Heap of Media History a week after the election.

To steal/twist a quote from the great Rush Limbaugh: One day MSNBC will realize that Olbermann wasn’t the solution, he was the problem. MSNBC’s ratings are in the gutter because everyone knows (well, except their management) that their major personas are in the tank for the far left fringe. Who wants to watch that? Probably only…duh…the far left fringe, which i bet is directly proportional percentage wise to MSNBC’s dismal ratings.
