Sir, evidently you assume that Huckabee’s attending that convention automatically means that he learned about the mormon religion. While some of the people who attended did try to convert mormons while in SLC, that does not mean that everyone who was there learned the ins and outs of mormonism.

Sir, you forget that Ron Paul had over a hundred votes on the first ballot, which was what Huckabee was referring to. After that, every single one of them switched to Huckabee in exchange for 3 delegates at the GOP Convention. Huckabee told the truth.

The McCain voters obviously realized their man couldn’t win (he didn’t have many more votes than Paul) and decided to switch to their second choice (Huckabee). There was no evidence whatsoever of an underhand deal with McCain’s voters.

Without the Ron Paul votes, and without the McCain votes, Huckabee could not have won.

That explains why Huckabee won so many states once Mitt had dropped out. I’m sure Mitt couldn’t have done any better had Huckabee dropped out instead. /s

Two words: “Urim” and “Thummim”. While the method of Joseph Smith’s supposed ‘translation’ of the Golden Plates is one reason I find Mormonism difficult to believe, it’s not like such things cannot be found in the Bible as well. “President Romney” could forgo both seer stones and the Urim and Thummim in reaching decisions by casting lots instead a la Acts.
