The only explanation that makes any sense is that Team Obama just couldn’t resist one last dig at Hillary.

All it had me thinking was that this shows the quality of his 3:00 a.m. decision making… Hillary was really on to something there!

Hillary claims she will have “whips” on the floor to prevent anti-Obama demonstrations in Denver.

To me, this seems a pretext to stir up pro-Hillary action in Denver. No other excuse works to lull Obama supporters to sleep while they organize, and make it difficult for Obama supporters to not allow the whips. Besides, how does Hillary lose if her followers seem so dedicated and disappointed that they get out of hand if Obama wins the nomination vote?

Do the PUMAs in Denver walk out after the presidential nomination vote, or nominate Hillary for VP to overturn Obama’s selection? I think they could try both.

These are the guys who picked Joe “Obama Has No Qualifications for President” Biden. I’m pretty sure it didn’t occur to them.

Biden now becomes the “I’ll say Obama is now qualified, because it benefits me” VP candidate.

Questioning Biden’s credibility on this change will be fun. Imagine the results of him failing to make a convincing case for Obama to a persistent interviewer.

Given how difficult it is to not look like an idiot while defending an idiotic position, (and Biden’s fantastic ego) expect to see Biden-gaffes in this area.

They have no weapons.

1. Iraq- McCain wins

2. Energy(drilling)- McCain wins

3. Illegal immigration- At worst for McCain, a tie

4. Supreme Court Justice nominations- Unknown

5. Russia and terrorism- McCain wins.

6. Projected budget and pork- McCain wins.

Obama’s screwed. Biden’s selection reinforces it.

Biden does have some history of reaching across the aisle to Republicans, but this just shows another gap in Obama’s qualifications.

I think the dissing Hillary at 3:00 AM is highly unlikely. The price they could pay by dissing all the people who signed up for the alert is too high. Getting beaten to the punch by the media is much more likely.

Much more likely? Of course. But I’m glad somebody over at the McCain campaign came up with this. Liberals love nasty conspiracy theories, and this one’s gonna have legs. As if the Biden pick wasn’t enough of an unforced error all on its own.

Allah, I’ve been trying to tell you since June that Hillary wouldn’t be Obama’s veep. It was her choice all along, and she made it in either May or June. All the stuff since then has been to help her try to raise funds for her campaing debt and/or to try to make her supporters think she was part of the process so they would pay attention to Obama. Of course, the more you pay attention to Obama, the less likely you are to like him (if you are a normal person, that is) so that backfired pretty badly.

Right, but the main point stands: Kerry lost by a few million votes nationally, but could have won the election if he’d done a little better in Ohio. If the conventional wisdom is true (it happens now and then), the Dems start in a much better position this time around. So Obama needs to win by 1 vote in Ohio, and otherwise hold the Kerry states. Generic/Generic D vs. Generic/Generic R should be able to accomplish that easily in ’08. If that’s true, the Republicans need to keep the race from reducing to that, and Obama appears to have a larger margin for error.
