The mystery here is why Pelosi is pushing him, especially with the drilling positions Edwards has taken.

Maybe it’s because Nancy is going to need an ally when the Dems try to throw her out of her leadership position after they lose in November. Meanwhile she can pretend that she’s a moderate in favor of drilling by pushing his candidacy.
