I’m not going to be able to be here, but I do want to know McCarthy’s take on the “unindicted co-conspirator” ISNA convention speaker. While it is true that the Bush administration used various people from ISNA & other organizations for outreach purposes, I think it just took them time to figure out who’s who and what they were/are up to. The idea that someone from ISNA is speaking at the Dem convention tells me all I need to know about how actively a President Obama would pursue Islamic cells in America.

I noticed in the live thread that it is being said that Obama is pulling ad out of Red battleground states. I was streaming Rush out of Norfolk, VA since in Jacksonville we were receiving wall to coverage on the rain we are getting. Several Obama ads. Very depressing.

Free Ramos and Compean!! These border agents were stuck trying to do an impossible job without the resources necessary. They are serving 11- and 12-year prison terms for attempting to apprehend an illegal alien drug smuggler. The smuggler, who was transporting 743 pounds of marijuana (about $1 million worth), was given full immunity to testify against our agents and is suing our government for $5 million.
Under those circumstances it is impossible to do everything by the book. The chaotic circumstances at our borders and of their cases along with their clean previous record justify leniency in sentencing. They both have proud records in the US Armed Forces before joining the INS and have distinguishing records as border agents too. They have been fighting for America for most of their lives and they don’t deserve this. I urge everyone to write to President GW Bush to lobby him to issue a Presidential Pardon to Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.
