You’re giving Edwards too much credit. I live less than 2 hours from Crawford and I’ve never heard of the guy. Crawford is a small town and the biggest city nearby (Waco I think) is solidly Republican.

Am I the only one in America that never thought BO would consider Hillary as a running mate?
I’m not surprised at ALL about this.

I have been saying this all along. Obama is an idiot, but not stupid enough to have a VP that will undermine him for 4 yrs. It would be a shock if his campaign said it was a possibility.

The political “experts” on here would disagree though. They’ve been pushing this idiocy for months.

McCain would be the one to consider Hillary, if anyone at all.

The Clintons have been too quiet and muted in their comments. None of her attack ads will matter to Dems…….remember…..it is the heart that matters to Dems……not facts.

Obama told Pelosi recently that she would be pleased with the choice.

The campaign has been to long. The VP teases have been too long. The whole @#$%^&* thing is WAY overdone. All these “head fakes”. He knows he’s campaigned too long and peaked too early. Obama’s not head fakin’. It’s the fear that’s making him twitch like a tweeker getting tazed.

It will be a case of arrogant vs common sense.

If he is arrogant he will do Biden or anyone else; if he uses common sense he cannot win with 25% of her voters going to McCain, risk losing her clout in Penn., NY., CA., etc. Further, it is extremely counter-intuitive for BO to give speech time to Hil and Bill in a major way if she were not the pick. Further, it will unite the party big-time, and Michelle will just have to get over it.

Meh. Edwards was my congressman until the redistricting carved him off. He’s little known outside of Central Texas, an occasional centrist who otherwise votes how he’s told.

He doesn’t bring jack to the Obama campaign. It would be silly to select him.

He was my congressman too until redistricting. His biggest asset is is clout with the military. He has been taking good care of Ft. Hood, and as a result, he swings a big stick with the military brass. Other than that, he is a largely unknown moderate dem.

It would be really funny if it was Chet Edwards, just because they had the Obama/Edwards signs and stationary already printed up weeks ago, before the recent unpleasantness for John Edwards.
