actually, thats NOT the whole quote that made it offensive, to call someone “clean and articulate” would be a compliment.. “clean” could mean that he’s a clean guy not dirty politically or could mean that he’s a nice guy, what was offensive was the beginning and end of the statement..

the problem with Biden’s statement is..
1. it’s false, Colin Powell Condi Rice, Michael Steel, J.C Watts list goes on..

2. the end of the statement saying that it’s a storybook, as if African-Americans are not capable of being “articulate” or “clean”(however you use the word, putting it in the frame of a “storybook” puts it out of reach for the “common person” to attain, as if Obama is an anomaly and something that “normal African-Americans” could not attain unless it was just in a storybook or a “fantasy”.)

Thanks, bro! I’d have done the same but the Dems where I work aren’t enamored with Obama whatsoever and had no desire to receive any text message from his campaign; I think they know a dud when they see one.

Just think, if McCain chooses Lieberman (I am thinking it will more likely be Romney though) then Obama will have an arguably more conservative running mate than McCain.
