A one-term Prez could run for VP, but a two-term Prez couldn’t because according to the Constitution (I’m paraphrasing) no person shall be eligible to the office of Vice President who is ineligible to the office of President.

Thus, Slick Willie couldn’t be Obamba’s VP… but Jimmy the Peanut could!!!

Superdelegates are not required to “lock in” their votes ahead of time. According to the insanity that created the superdelegate system, they’re supposed to vote at the convention, and not before.

In other words, Obama ain’t nominated, and won’t be unless the Supers do what they’ve said they’ll do. They’re Dems, of course, so anything could happen….

Hillary would help salvage some a lot of the disaffected Democrats migrating to McCain for the moment, but in the long run would probably be more trouble than she’s worth.

How true, how true, but the “long run” would not start for at least 2 and 1/2 months however.

If she takes the VP nomination, it’s only because Howard Dean has pictures in hand of Hillary driving Vince Foster out to that park.

I thought The One is desperate – in every possible way.

I’ve been thinking about Hillary at the top of the ticket myself; what has become of the super delegates? Are they all pledged – forgive me if that’s a silly question, I’m on election-overload and can only remember that Obama as President would be a disaster. The rest of the details remain fuzzy.

Which could be a good thing…

Still – what about those super delegates? Are they all pledged to Obama or could Hillary still pull out the usual Clinton bagofdirtytricks and snatch this from The One?

Going out on a limb here, I’m seeing a Hillary/Obama ticket.

I don’t see that as much of a stretch – I tend to agree. Assuming Obama manages to pull it out and win nomination, who can he pick that has less experience – not many. Maybe Webb? He is only on his first term….

* WRONG on Iraq the “civil war.”
* WRONG on General Petraeus “the betrayer.”
* WRONG on Haditha “the next My Lai.”
* WRONG on Ethanol subsidies “magical replacement for fuel.”
* WRONG on Drilling “never.”
* WRONG on Valerie Plame “secret agent.”
* WRONG on Global warming “debate is over.”
* WRONG on Economic collapse of USA “recession!”
* WRONG on Russia in Georgia “Russia isn’t a threat.”

and most of all:

* WRONG on Barack Obama “new kind of politician!”

Don’t forget about Clinton’s wonderful praise of McCain during the primaries. The commercials would be awe-some.

Why, for example, are African-Americans a “voting bloc” but Irish-Americans just “white folk”?

Note, for cross-reference, that Asian-Americans aren’t a bloc, Mexican-Americans may be a bloc, but not Hispanic-Americans. Hell, even Cuban-Americans, for a long time a reliable Republican bloc, have fractured.
