Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), we’ll do our Week in Review early as our co-host Duane “Generalissimo” Patterson will be traveling tomorrow and unable to join us. Senator Orrin Hatch will talk to us about the various Senate races, including in his neighboring Colorado, as well as energy policy. Duane and I will continue looking at the running-mate sweepstakes and all of the hot stories of the week!
Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions…

Hmm. My Senator! He’s been pushing for Oil Shale alot lately. I wish he was still running the Judiciary committee instead of Arlen what’s his name.
You should ask him about his presidential run in 2000–and his hymn to Ted Kennedy. Tweak him a bit!

Holy crap, Orrin Hatch? He totally trumped Biden on the Judiciary committee. Does that mean he’s on the short list for McCain’s VP? Great catch, Ed. Orrin Hatch rules. I hope your interview is up to that!

Orrin Hatch! Orrin Hatch?! Is he still in our party? He is the epitome of what is wrong with the GOP. I wouldn’t spit on him if he was on fire. The man embodies double dealing two facedness. I heard he is still on the waiting list for a spine implant. I have had this wretched excuse for a Senator “representing” me for far long enough. At least with Hillary you know she hates the ideals we stand for. Hatch will lie straight to the face of his constituents. Examples, met with Billy Jeff and failed to acquit, embraces Ted Kennedy publicly, supports embryonic stem cell research. He should be embrassed to talk among the decent people at HA.

He would bring his incredible backbone and courage to the VP slot. Yes that was the same backbone and courage he employed so frequently during his feckless stewardship of the judiciary committe before Arlen Specter who, unbelievably, is as weak and embarassing as Hatch.

Ah yes, Orrin Hatch… he’s replaced Fritz Hollings as the new Senator from Disney. Scumbag extraordinaire.
