McCain may not own any houses. His wife’s finances are separate for his. Why should he keep track of how many houses she owns? This is by far the most stupid thing that has come up so far. It also shows how panic stricken the Obama handlers are getting.

Really though…what kind of guy doesn’t know how many mansions he owns??

He did answer with straight talk, he said he would get back with him. Was he supposed to make something up?

I don’t think that is fair. Just how do you answer a question like that? None of your business. What if he actually does not know the answer?

Maybe you’ve got a point, Terrye. But I think the Maverick should answer with “straight talk”. It sounds like a fair question to me.

Speaking of facts eluding everyone, it is the Democrats who are making an issue of wealth here, not the Republicans.

I don’t think that is fair. Just how do you answer a question like that? None of your business. What if he actually does not know the answer?

McCain’s wife has money, she has a trust, that trust might well own and control property that has nothing to do with McCain. In his own right he is not a wealthy man.

But the Democrats always do this, they act as if they have the God given right to be rich, that is just fine, but when the rich guy has an R behind his name..that is a bad thing. I wonder if the Kennedys even know how much property they own?

This whole thing is stupid, who the hell cares?

He’s like the monkeys at the zoo, throwing feces. He hopes it will stick. Or maybe he does it to laugh when McCain pulls out his hankerchief to wipe off his brow. It’s beneath the Obama campaign to pursue this politics of envy.

Seems like Obama’s mother received food stamps for a time not necessarily because she needed them but because she could.

As Barack Obama said in a 2006 Time Magazine interview, “For example, I was going to a fancy prep school, and my mother was on food stamps while she was getting her Ph.D.”

The Obama family’s food stamps were a lifestyle choice, not one forced on them by poverty. His mother chose to stay in school instead of working to support her family, which she of course was free to do, but it doesn’t exactly grant Barack Obama any genuine hardscrabble points.

The same relatively affluent grandparents who sent him to Hawaii’s poshest academy were alive and in the picture during his mother’s period of eligibility for food stamps. Like most of Obama’s tales about himself, the closer you look, the less credible he becomes.

I’m hearing and reading that Camp Barry might use McCain’s little inability to remember how many homes he has as a theme against McCain. Does Barry 57 really want to go there?

Heh This headline is kind of Ironic, “Obama raps McCain for ignorance of his own houses”. Considering that Obama was ignorant of his own constituents living conditions only a short distance from his home. They were even part of a……

Obama’s beach house on the South Shore is a fully functional campaign HQ?

He issued a three sentence statement calling for a cease-fire and went back to fund raising and body surfing. Curious behavior for a man who wants to burnish his image worldwide as presidential by acting as though he has the job when scripted.

Obviously he did work on the trip – he spent some of it working on weaning himself from teleprompters so he won’t “lock down” and “fail to get the words out”, fine speaker that he is.
