Well, I wondered about that myself … and then it occurred to me that I had never gotten around to asking him. As soon as I did that, the Internet original gladly accepted. Lileks is currently in the throes of some business/personal issues.
The best writer on the net. bar none.
His daughter is almost exactly the same as mine, as well as sharing an identical love for the Haunted Mansion at Disney World and some antipathy of the shlocky “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride, as well as a serious Pokeman addiction.
It’s like we’re related…

Yeah, James has been alluding to some kind of “betrayal” he feels he’s suffered this week, and it seems sincere, so I hope he fills us on.
Who’d want to betray Lileks? Was it you? Why would you do that to Lileks?

I suspect it might be an issue with his book publisher, as it isn’t Strib or family related (phew on the latter).
I first ran across him a decade ago via his critique of the Gobbler Motel & Supper Club. Very fine writer.
