Carter’s invitation is hardly surprising, given his status as a former President. However, with Obama proposing to run for his second term with his foreign-policy cluelessness and disastrous windfall-profits taxes, did anyone consider that Carter could make the perfect running mate for Obama?

Before I read the whole post I was thinking about that as a joke.

My heart just jumped a beat reading the Jimmy Carter will speak at the convention! Sweet! The worst President of The United States EVER speaking at a convention chocked full of past, present and future RAT losers is just what the American People need to see!

We need Carter to give an encore to his “malaise” speech of the 80′s! I can’t wait for next week! Liberals on display! Most excellent!

When Carter is mentioned I always bring to mind the image of He, Begin, and Sadat embracing at Camp David having just ushered in a brave new era of Middle East peace. How’d that work out there, Jimmah?
And I’m struck her by the irony that I consider Rangle the more sober and serious of the two. Yikes!

Jimmuh Carter is just what this country needs at the Dem convention: an old naive Democrat reminding voters too young to remember the late 1970s why not to vote for a young naive Democrat for President.

Think gasoline is expensive now? Under Carter, you could only buy it at 6:00 AM on odd days of the month.

Foreclosure problems now? Under Carter, nobody could afford a house at 20% interest rates.

Unemployment? Let’s hear it from the last President to have double-digit unemployment, the President who REALLY had the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover.

A Putin problem now? Oh, let’s run those films of Carter kissing Brezhnev, and what we got for all those kisses.

Worried about a nuclear Iran? Iran was our ALLY before Carter dumped the Shah for “human rights” violations.

Let’s hear some “judgment to lead” lessons from the peanut ~~gallery~~ farmer. Enough to conjure up the ghost of Reagan and wake up the voters to the truth.

Long term this is going to be good for Rangel.

Obama will lose. Hillary will still be in the senate, in a much more powerful position than Sen. Obama, who will become a leaper in his party. His arrogance with the Beltway Democrats has not won him any support. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth in the Democrat party, and general groveling before Hillary, who all will attest could have beaten McClain. She remembers who her friends are, and aren’t. Her party will control the senate.

She will run again in 2012, and this will be her coronation. Everything she learned after SuperTuesday will be used throughout the entire primary. The base, including African-Americans, will rally to her. Rangel will have a much better time slot at her convention as her proven loyal supporter, from that most loyal of Democrat bases: African-Americans. Bill will continue to be the first Black President.
