While a state senator, his highness also voted against a parental notification bill, one that would inform parents of a minors abortion.
Just another hypocritical so called Christian.

Yep, Senator Obama is lying, but (1) will his lie(s) be exposed and (2) if exposed, will any of his supporters care? That is the question…
In one of the NRO posts I read today, one of the pundits actually said (paraphrasing) ‘if this gets out, Obama is finished among that constituency’. Hah. Yeah right. I can’t tell you how many times the Right has stated that about Obama during this campaign about his many gaffes, lies, bad associations, etc and he just keeps on going, everything just bouncing right off of him. My guess is this will roll right off of him as well, as the mass media won’t cover it. And it’s not like anyone was really tuning into politics in a Saturday night with better things to do, not to mention the Olympics on.

Yes, and I wonder if anyone has incorporated Obama’s theoretical question of who will take in the abandoned child in Bangladesh, along with the McCain’s adoption of such a child.
mikeyboss on August 17, 2008 at 9:49 PM
This will reappear, in October at the latest. Accusing people of lying when the full documentation is readily available to show hey were telling the truth is too good for the Republicans to let slip. If the MSM doesn’t cover it now, it will simply hit harder when it shows up in ads.
Buford Gooch on August 17, 2008 at 9:51 PM
Doesn’t need to make a Daisy Ad. This one’s tailor made for independent groups – not to mention talk radio, flyers on the windshield, and the most powerful of all forms of political advertisement: word of mouth.
Ever since I first heard about Obama and the BAIPA, I’ve thought his outreach to evangelicals was a near total waste of time. There will be a few obstinate, Kmiec-like evangelicals who will refuse to face the facts – I happen to know one personally, and please don’t ask me to explain him – but by election day, there will be near 100% saturation among pro-life voters on this issue, and it will extend to large portions of centrists who don’t put life first, but who will be made physically ill after being exposed to the story. The only votes Obama will get from that bloc will be from dyslexics, and, unless McCain really has lost his marbles and picks a pro-choice running mate, he may do as well (very) among them, both as voters and volunteers, as Bush did.

I was going to say what a shame it is that the first black person nominated for POTUS will probably end up setting race relations back 20 years, win or lose.
Then I remembered… he’s a Dem. The Dems, white and black and every other flavor, have been setting race relations back since the 60′s. If (a great number of) minority voters could ever actually see themselves as something other than victims, why would they vote for Democrats? That’s what the ‘rats are selling, and have been for years.

Less kids born to other people mean more resources for the Baracky family.
Finally, something that will benefit Michelle’s children, she can now be proud of America.
Bishop on August 17, 2008 at 10:31 PM
I can understand how reasonable people could believe in early term abortion. I cannot understand how anybody can accept late term partial birth abortion. I cannot possibly fathom how anybody could let a baby that was born into an unwelcoming world could let that baby die. It is comparable to the atrocities of German concentration camps.

Barack Obama and Born Alive.
For Republicans, find a nice flat spot near your
computer,and I suggest bangin yer head,once or
twice!
For Liberals,12oz.of Democrat Koolaid!
In 2001,Senator flippinzee Barack der flopponzee Obama
was the only member of the Illinois Senate to speak against
a bill that would have recognized premature abortion surviv-
ors as (Human Baby Rights)”persons”.
Obama voted “present” on the bill after (flip)denouncing
it.(flop)
In 2003,a similar bill came before Obama’s health committee.
He voted against it.But this time, the legislation was slig-
htly different.
For the Liberals,Fippizee/der/flopponzee,is essential lying!
Don’t the American people deserve a better!
The Liberal Democratic Party endured eight years of lying,
a la the trickmaster,der serial sexual predator,Bubba!
Are liberals really going to risk the War on Terror, the
reamergence of the USSR,and non-oil drilling,and illegal
fence hopping,to another serial liar!
So will the Left, swallow and not spit, an Obama Presidency
and risk the America they proclaim to love as much or more
than Republican Conservatives!
Really?

I think that it is awfully easy for a man who has now admitted that he does not know when life begins to have little regard for life at any stage.
“Who am I decide if a mother does not want her 1 minute old, 1 day old, 1 month old or 1 year old to live? That’s between her and her personal God of choice that strikes her fancy on that particular day.”

And without even looking I know the Rapture Republicans are swiftboating him on this issue.

alphie on August 17, 2008 at 11:09 PM
Where do you come up with this crap? I know lots of families who have adopted. And almost every single one is conservative, middle-class. They don’t ask for any special handouts from the government to adopt. And yet you seem to say that the only way to care for these children is to redistribute money from the rich to pay for them. You need to learn to engage your brain before making any comments.

drjohn on August 17, 2008 at 11:29 PM
Nope, which is why the comment was so odd. For a party that claims racism against its members so often, they sure do bring race into the debate a lot.
Bishop on August 17, 2008 at 11:35 PM
A couple of things.
1. Senator Couldawouldashoulda said he would have been in favor…
2. Why would a Federal bill be presented at the state level?
3. Actually, said bill was presented at the state level. And he did vote no. (Freddoso)
drjohn on August 17, 2008 at 11:35 PM
It would be good for someone to point out the differences between what Obama says he wouldacouldashoulda done and what he actually has done.
It matters not what he woulda done with that Born Alive bill.
He killed it. That’s what he DID.
He voted to support Aprtial Birth Abortion.
It’s what he did. What he says matters not.
drjohn on August 17, 2008 at 11:38 PM
The only alternative to partial birth abortion is for the doctor to rip the fetus apart bit by bit, dr. john.
Which method do you support?
alphie on August 17, 2008 at 11:40 PM
Clinton balanced the budget.
Laugher. Clinton had to submit his own budget five times until the GOP congress finally relented and accepted it, and in the end it looked awfully similar to the GOP version.
Clinton get marginal praise for the budget balance because he slashed military funding and watched the dot.com bubble get ominously large, unless you feel that paying $400 per share of K-Tel stock was normal.
Bishop on August 17, 2008 at 11:40 PM
Bullshit, alphie.
There’s something called a called a Caesarian section, and when there is distress prior to birth, this is what’s used. Then there’s induced labor.
Unless someone is having a bad hair day.
This procedure is just about never used to save anyone’s life.
That’s why those liars like you who support it always use the phrase “the health of the mother” which is intentionally nebulous.
drjohn on August 17, 2008 at 11:44 PM
I agree with drjohn as my own wife went through such a procedure. She endured 24 hours of inducement to no effect and finally the C-section was decided upon.
We didn’t know until after that the baby was suffering fetal distress, the doctor didn’t want to upset us and it was looking like a CS would be used anyway.
Bishop on August 17, 2008 at 11:47 PM
Slashing the “Defense” budget is the only way to balance the budge, Bishop.
That’s why we need a President man enough to do it.
alphie on August 17, 2008 at 11:53 PM
Again- so why are you voting for Obama?
Chuck Schick on August 17, 2008 at 11:54 PM
1. McCain’s a loon
2. We need a Dem to balance the budget
Good enough for you, Chuck?
alphie on August 17, 2008 at 11:58 PM
1. He’s crazy? How?
2. Why? They have both houses of Congress and the deficit more that doubled in a year. Social Security and Medicare are both products of Democrat presidents and Democrat Congresses and they are $57 trillion in the hole. If Obama is elected, you’ll have the exact same situation. Obama’s already promised to crank up spending and laughed off McCain’s promise to cut spending.
Chuck Schick on August 18, 2008 at 12:02 AM
RNC won’t have to spend any money on an ad about this. NRLC has lots of wealthy supporters who will be highly motivated to donate to such an ad … especially now that Barry called them liars.

Lies And the Lying Liars Who Tell Them
After the Warren show last night Obama gave an interview and lied through his teeth on topic.
How’s he going to explain it – that he forgot how he voted?
Entelechy on August 18, 2008 at 12:34 AM
Baracky will say its a distraction from the issues and then move on to a nonsensical rant about George Bush forcing women to abort in back alleys.
The usual tactic of the guy who flip-flops so often that he is actually flopping back to his original positions.
Bishop on August 18, 2008 at 12:43 AM
Hardly. Slash entitlements.
Slashing our military now is unwise.
Spirit of 1776 on August 18, 2008 at 12:50 AM
Obama wouldn’t slash entitlements, but he wouldn’t slash the Military either. This would be the lefties’ biggest disappointment. In fact he’d disappoint them greatly, by not coming through with most of his promises. I don’t think we’ll find out.
Entelechy on August 18, 2008 at 1:00 AM
Of course I agree with you. Obama would expand the government. Like Hillary said, I have all these great ideas (note to Hillary, tune out all the voices in your head) but that we couldn’t afford them all. Obama’s socialist views mean a more European vision. No thank you, and I thank you no.
I’m not sure what he’d do with the military. It did suffer under the last D administration, but even hopefully he isn’t fool enough to turn his back on the threat that faces us. However, I am not certain. He has (amazingly!) repeated he wouldn’t vote for surge even with seeing it’s success and Dr. Ron Paul ran his entire campaign based on a foreign policy of “I can’t see you, therefore you do not exist” and was popular to an extent.
Spirit of 1776 on August 18, 2008 at 1:05 AM
Nice to see the Psychic Republicans represented tonight, ent.
Any more prediction about what President Obama will or won’t do during his first term?
alphie on August 18, 2008 at 1:06 AM
Oh, he most certainly would. Skipping the visit with the wounded troops, and skipping the Ft. Hood town hall meeting are just the most recent examples of his disdain for the military.
You’ve seen the video where he details his plans to slash missile defense and other military programs right?
funky chicken on August 18, 2008 at 1:08 AM
After last night’s mess?

Chuck Schick on August 18, 2008 at 1:12 AM
Turns out McCain may have known the questions in advance and Obama didn’t, Chuck.
Might be the end of McCain…
alphie on August 18, 2008 at 1:14 AM
That’s right. I had temporarily forgotten that. Proof of his intent right there. Which (opposing missile defense) frankly boggles the mind in this day and age.
Spirit of 1776 on August 18, 2008 at 1:17 AM
Well, it’s not to be unexpected. Self crucifixion is a assemblage of choice.
When you are a candidate for everyone and everything else,
you can only please yourself, and not everyone else.
You can be present, but not really there.
You can vote your conscience, but not your beliefs.
You can be in the middle of the road, but not between the lines.
You can be the candidate for assemblage, and not even be for the singularity, or the sincerity.
