Two things: 1. I’d like for these “theologians” and “pastors” to show me in Scripture how Obama is a good leader, husband, and model of a man for Christian families.
2. Since these folks, like so many “Christian” leaders, fail to use Scripture as their measuring tool, I will. This group invokes Matthew 25 (I’m assuming the part where it speaks of Jesus sitting on the thrown of judgment and He was every stranger whom we chose to help or not. Perhaps they should also reflect on the rest of the chapter, but I digress.) How about Matthew 7 where Jesus describes how one will know if someone is one of His:
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.’” Considering Obama’s views of human life, socialism (compared to the Bible saying, “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”), his views of homosexuality (as opposed to 1 Corinthians 6:9 and others), saying that Jesus isn’t the only way (as opposed to John 14:6, Acts 4:12, and others), I think I know where Obama stands based upon his fruits.

Seems like a really stupid ad. I mean, 1. Nobody figured John Edwards would screw around on a woman dying from cancer and it turned out he did; it’s entirely possible Obama has horsed around and nobody has found out yet. Of course, even if he was hosing the entire Dallas Cowboy cheerleading squad, the media would die before they reported it. 2. Not cheating on your wife is supposed to be the norm. I mean, millions of people don’t cheat on their wives every day. So Barrack gets a medal for doing what many others do? I guess we could do a whole series of commercials on this: Guess who puts the seat down in the master bedroom? BARRACK OBAMA! Guess who doesn’t beat his children with a shovel to discipline them? BARRACK OBAMA! Guess who doesn’t have a fur coat made of Dalmation puppy fur? BARRACK OBAMA! Somebody get this man a trophy..he’s the most perfect human ever seen! God, I hate this ***king election year.

Kirbyjon Caldwell — a friend of Dubya turned Obama supporter who appears in the ad —

This is the Rove/Bush remnant that hasn’t realized that Bush isn’t running against McCain this time around. I think lots of them are terrified that McCain will do a better job than Bush has and thus embarrass W, and are supporting Obama for that reason. I can’t see any other explanation…..aside from the fact that Bush was never very conservative to begin with, so his friends have no ideological basis to support republicans in the future.

A Republican strategist speaking on the condition of anonymity reacted to the Caldwell comments by telling ABC News: “My advice to the Obama people: ‘proceed with extreme caution.’ They don’t want to get into a discussion of character and background. They are opening a door that they will not be able to close. They are putting on the table issues and personalities that they do not want to discuss.”

Cindy Hensley was a lot more attractive American than Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers were. McCain worked quite diligently to establish a relationship with Cindy Hensley. Barack Obama worked quite diligently to establish a relationship with Ayers and Dohrn.

Look, from all I have been given to understand it was like this: Given the first Mrs. McCain’s car wreck, and the issues therefrom, on top of John McCain’s years-long captivity, and the issues therefrom, you had two people with too many issues of their own they had been dealing with on their own for many years. They simply couldn’t come together anymore.

Besides, wasn’t it John Edwards who was being touted as Mister Family Values for bravely standing by his cancer-stricken wife—-until the fact he was schtupping that Rielle lady came out? If Barack’s gonna throw that stone, he better hope his house isn’t glass.

Oh please, it’s just brushback humor in response to the ad. Lighten up, Francis. A polygraph is a game-show device anyhow. It’s slightly more scientific than a magic 8-ball or an E-Meter.

But now that you mention it…these Matthew 25 people probably know more about the meaninglessness of a failed polygraph test than you. So “let it go.”
