The girls had scans of their birth certifcates suddenly appear on Kos just after they won the medal. They were all born in Hawaii and they’re all in their 40′s.

So who are these “judges” for all these sports that “could be influenced by bad refs/calls”? You’re not so stupid as to believe they all come from China, are you? If not, and I hope not, then how is the fix in? Why does a gymnastics judge from Paraguay fix it for the Chinese? Or a Belgian volleyball ref? I cannot WAIT for you answer.

I’m just saying that GAME could be effected by the outcome of the ref or umpire with a bad call(that happens all the time, who knows if its political or just a bad call, I still count those as “Sports” vollyball, softball etc.. )

However a “real sport” would be one that a jude really has no effect on like say weightlifting or running or race swimming(not synchronized swimming that isn’t a sport), track & field sports are all not really heavily dependant upon judges more so on technology i.e. the start(don’t get disqualified)

There should be an Olympics for normal people. 200 meters Shopping, the “getting up before 11 on Sunday”, freestyle GTA IV – that sort of thing.

Also, I think it is to the detriment of sport that performance enhancing drugs are banned. I mean the clue is in the name PERFORMANCE ENHANCING. If we’ve gotta watch this crap every day, then we might as well watched an “enhanced performance”.

Okay – it’s not fair on those that don’t want to take drugs, so let them take part in a separate Olympics.

We could have the Clean Olympics and the Juiced Olympics. I know which one I’d rather watch. The one with the 2 foot, growth-inhibited Chinese girls. The one with the mustachioed 30 stone Russian woman shot putter, who hurls her orb out of the stadium. The one where Michael Johnson can run the marathon in 45 minutes.

I think you have a point. Last Sunday, we were dining at a Texas Roadhouse in Victoria, on our way home from Houston. I couldn’t avoid the flat screens at the bar, where you could watch the Olympics unfold. When I saw those gymnast girls from China, I kept thinking… “They are WAAAAAY too young to be there!”

Those girls look my niece’s age (10). No matter how short in stature, their physical appearance and quality are those of “tweens”. Fourteen? My rear-end! I’ve seen Junior Girl Scouts who look like them – yes: Chinese-American girls!

My husband insists “that’s the way Asian girls develop”, but I don’t buy it. Something stinks to heaven about all this. If Bela Karolyi has noticed it and sounded the alarm, we should listen: he has seen shenanigans before in Communist countries. It is such a shame that we have forgotten how Communists act and all they do to get what they want.

No wonder I decided not to watch the Olympics at home!

Your worthless feelings are not “facts”, my dear lefty. The all time winners in the “juiced-up” athletics department were the former communist countries, many of whose women (to say nothing of the men) had facial hair and deep voices.

I think the majority of gymnasts and coaches (and fans) hate the new scoring system. Nobody’s used to it yet and it seems to be fu*ked up and inconsistent here and there. It’s unfortunate that they’re working the kinks out on the fly at the Olympics.

None of our girls are pre-pubescent, just tiny.

Europe has 4 of the top 10 medal counts. And if population was that important India and Indonesia would be awesome.

gymnastics and figure skating are “real” sports because one can get oneself killed doing those.

You can get killed driving to work. Doesn’t make it a sport.
