Cross-breed a pit bull and a German Shepherd and you get that. I’ve seen thousands.

If the head is similar to the head that they had on display, it was not a dog or a coyote. It had the snout of a hog.

It didn’t seem to behave like a wild animal. It was pursued by a car, and it just kept loping down the road. I would expect a wild animal to look for cover.

Most wild animals will run straight down the road until the get to where they are going. I see it every day. And that was no coyote.

Suddenly I had to slam on the brakes to stop and take another look at the most freakish thing I’d ever seen in my life. Tied up to one of the stands with a rope was a very small dog, except this dog had a head darn near as big as it’s body. It was obviously the product of a German Shepherd that had mated with a Mexican Chihuahua, resulting in the Chihuahuan body with a Shepherd head. For the mother’s sake, I hope she was the Shepherd! As it was, I simply was amazed that the dog could move about at all without falling over from the weight of its own head.

If you look closely at the video where the animal turns its head to the side, it darn near looks exactly like that Chihuaua/German Shepherd mutt that I saw way back then. Stranger and almost obscene pairings/matings have occurred among dogs over the years as breeders secretly bred different breeds to try to develop new breeds. I’ve talked to a breeder who had stories of such abominations that had to be put down rather than let the poor creatures go through life with the dreadful deformities that resulted from these experimental cross-breedings.

Seems to me that the explanation is as simple as that. Although if so, it certainly wouldn’t warrant the public attention and press that this creature obviously got. Seems like someone took a grainy video and over-dramatized what it might be for no better reason than to get their 15 minutes of fame. ;-}

Thanks for the link, Cozmo. Looks like someone killed Chewbacca and stuffed his body in a freezer.

Guess we’ll know this Friday if it’s real or another hoax.
