“Officials honored him today by burning his home…”

Haha!

That anchor lady did look like Matt Lauer…
Olympic rings on the face mask was a nice touch.

Today, in a gesture of friendship, and in the spirit of promoting international understanding, Chinese officials arranged personal visitations for the members of all of the other nations’ teams with these, the most enthusiastic Chinese patriots of the Olympic games.

My collie says:

Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prevented high ranking Chinese officials from accompanying the athletes to these meetings.

I think I had this last night watching the Men’s 400 free relay finals.

I can’t believe that Allah hasn’t posted something about the US team and Jason Lezak laying the smack down on the arrogant French.

Probably the funniest Onion video I’ve seen! Great stuff!

True noir humor.

What ever happened to the imminent bird flu outbreak anyway? Did they figure out that it has always been a potential threat and will always be a potential threat and that there is no sense in prattling on in public about it?

Heh, this is the funniest thing about the Olympics, so far.

“Many collapsing in street from national pride”

“Lit house on fire in a symbolic gesture to recreate the lighting of the torch”

Classics! The Onion is hilarious, most of the time. I like Scott Ott’s Scrappleface the best, though.

Well,this looks really really bad,I
mean my gawd, they would be crazy to
have the closing ceremony’s,it would
border irresponsiblity or insaneness!

Whoa,wait a tick,I’ve just got another
outstanding brilliant idea!

How about, load the planes up with Liberal
Democrats and send them over to Beijing to
watch the closing ceremonys,it’ll be a win/win!

What do mean that would be cruel and unusual
punishment! hahaha

He linked to a story about it in the headlines earlier today. I saw it live and went nuts. I think Lezak must have popped his shoulder out of place with that stretch he made. Won it by an inch. Those “Frenchies”, as Lezak so lovingly refereed to them, were talkin’ smack. They dug their own grave.

Yeah, I went back and found it. Must have been while I was at work.

It’s not so much that he won it by an inch (that happens all the time) its that he caught the former WR holder from a body length behind.

The cough on the end of this video is priceless.

MEMO
To: Chinese people

No we say, go to Olympic and clap.
Not, go to Olympic and get clap.

Oddly enough, this is Iranian logic.
