Hey settle down there, Ghengis. It’s just that sort of irresponsible diplomacy-mongering that forces Russia into these peacekeeping missions in the first place.

if we had a stronger relationship with Russia, we could exercise strong diplomacy to stop this effort against Georgia.

Vladmir Putin had to have paused at this gamble knowing the timing wasn’t quite right; the Olympics, of course, but also: he was a mere 12 weeks away from the Democrat party lurching into veto-proof control over all 3 branches of government in the USA!

This is all prelude. All Putin’s doing right now is taking over a county-sized plot of land – with a lien on the tiny country it’s attached to. It’s only when he uses that segment of pipeline to cut off half of Europe’s oil supply that something serious will have to be done. THAT is when he’ll need some heavy-duty appeasers running America’s foreign policy.

The Democrat meme for this election is that George Bush is “starting wars all over the place for absolutely no reason whatsoever.” Any reaction he takes to Russia’s invasion of Georgia will just be fodder for the liberal propaganda mill.

Liberals have spent the last twenty years bending over backward to support Islamic Radicals, but that is strictly a one-way love affair. Russia, on the other hand, loves exploiting their “useful idiots” almost as much as the idiots themselves love being exploited. With the stigma completely removed these days, it’s safe to say that cooperation is stronger now than it’s ever been.

He’s an over rated buffoon with a high opinion of his own value to the national seen.
