As he gets closer and closer to the nomination, Senator Obama seems to simultaneously be getting more and more….strange.

For me, the most disquieting thing is that poster. I don’t know whether he’s channeling Big Brother or Nehemiah Scudder.

I have found previous Presidential candidates unnerving (Carter), suspicious (Nixon), and possibly mentally unstable (Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich).

But Senator Obama is the first one, on either side, that activates my “genuinely creepy” reaction mode. Even Hillary didn’t succeed in tripping that one.

(But she came close.)

Speaking of legs… somehow, I cannot imagine Darren McGavin watching O’Tard giving a speech and saying “I felt a thrill go up my leg”.

It’s a great movie. However I started watching it with my kids last Christmas and realized how inappropriate it is for 5 and 7 year olds.

I’m guessing the super secret text message will come after the Mainstream Sycophants get theirs and all messages will come with an opportunity to donate to the Great Obamassiah. I wonder if he gets a cut of the text messaging fee. A tithe if you will.
