Such is the case with President Obama and his ultimate goal of limiting abortions in the U.S. Upon the meeting with the Pope, President Obama expressed his desire to reduce abortion in the U.S. However, that statement doesn’t match his personal philosophy nor his own party’s platform. President Obama is a well documented supporter for abortion rights and even cases of infanticide. He voted against giving medical aid to infants born alive during abortions, which he lied about during the campaign and later had to admit he lied (see video in his own words).
