And, just how predictable is it that Silky was compelled to bring up another John cheating on his wife? About as predictable as Lanny Davis defending the Clintons.

The rest of Edwards’ lies will inevitably be exposed. There are too many media types smelling blood in the water now. Edwards subjected the MSM to embarrassment and ridicule, and they’re going to be looking for ways to return the favor.

Also, the NE has had an “inside” source for some time now, so it’s possible that they’ve already obtained materials that contain the DNA of the baby and Edwards and had them tested. (That would explain why they are so certain Edwards is the father.) But even if they haven’t done it yet, somebody else will probably do it soon.

This story is not going away anytime soon, no matter how much Edwards wishes it would.

I read her post at Kos and decided that she was not exactly defending him–just saying that he was forgiven by his family along with the inference that the rest of our opinions didn’t matter,

Forgiven? OH! That can’t possibly be true no matter the circumstances. How do you “forgive” a cheating spouse? You might work through it but that is a betrayal that can’t be forgiven or forgotten. It is always going to be part of the relationship. If Edwards did indeed sire a bastard daughter it will be even worse.

For the sake of Edwards’ children I’m sorry that this story came public. They are too young for it to matter now but there will be a day when it will.

That’s the fairness doctrine at work, if Obermann trashes Edwards, then he can say that he is an equal opportunity “journalist”. It won’t be true, but he can say it.
