That’s cool, Glynn. For me, when watching the dark knight, It was very hard to see the actor behind the joker character. I do recall similar types of comments from a lot of the cast members of the lord of the rings movies. And Gyllenhaal’s brother is in the film, rendition. And If I recall, it didn’t quite make the millions that they all hoped for.

I usually hesitate to even say anything. My daughter went to see the movie and loved it, so I got to hear about it from her. Jake Guyllenhaal, yes, he has made some pretty outrageous statements, too. He and his sister were campaigning for Kerry here in Ohio pretty heavily. Thanks for not giving me a hard time about it.

From the Dark Knight? Which ones do you mean? Morgan Freeman?(I don’t recall if he is or not) I wouldn’t want to go out of my way to see a film starring Danny Glover. But I would for Mel Gibson, for example.

No, I mean Heath Ledger, who once said George Bush’s war was about oil and that George Bush could go to hell, and Maggie Gyllenhaal who said, at a movie premier for one of her movies that dealt with 9/11 “I think what’s good about the movie is that it deals with 9/11 in such a subtle, open way that I think it allows it to be more complicated than just, ‘Oh, look at these poor New Yorkers and how hard it was for them,’” Gyllenhaal told the NY1 cable channel.

“Because I think America has done reprehensible things and is responsible in some way and so I think the delicacy with which it’s dealt allows that to sort of creep in,” she added.”

When Hollywood started making these kind of statements years ago, I made up my mind that was it. And I am serious when I say that it has pained me. There are a lot of movies I just won’t see. Not judging anyone else, it’s my own deal, but I am sticking to it.

I think that they tried their best to show and hint of violence without showing any gore, to keep their PG-13 rating.

I must be one of the very few who loves everything about the new Batman, even the voice. I didn’t have a problem understanding him at all. The new movie was beyond awesome, I thought.

Agreed.The only complaint I do have is the casting of Maggie Gyllenhaal to replace Katie Holmes. I really didn’t think that Holmes. was that attractive in the previous film. And with Gyllenhaal, even less so. In the scene where the joker meets Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, he’s acting like she’s a very attractive woman, and Gyllenhaal isnt. That scene was less convincing because of that.

They could have added the POW, BIFF, BANGs of the Bat Man tv shows with Adam West.

And the cheesy sideways-camera angle of them supposedly climbing up buildings.
