The Anti-Christ has already acted and influenced our world (and continues to) as evidenced by those events you mention and by mamu other events, but “it”/the Anti-Christ isn’t going to make a one-time appearance in the future on Earth, the point is, that evil’s already here and has been since the fall of Man. To live in our world is to live amidst a world affected by evil, and, evil’s figure is the Anti-Christ.

Nero, for example, is thought by many today to be the “man” or figure of the Anti-Christ on Earth as to the number of his name passage, yet another permutation or appearance on Earth of evil.

I haven’t read all the comments, but Akzed is spot on. There is no “one” Anti-christ. An anti-Christ is a false teacher as is defined in the 3 books of John. A false teacher is one who teaches those things against Christ, hence the term Anti-Christ! Sheesh! I’ve been studying the Bible all my life and this is one of the easiest parts to understand! And yes, I have studied both the Old and New Testaments, but live my life in accordance with the New Testament.

Like I said (^^), it’s misleading to only gain some understanding or little understanding about the whole Bible before trying to “plug in facts” in the present to suit one’s socio-political demands. People on the Left NEEDED Reagan to be “evil” so they looked for patterns to support their needs. As I was earlier alluding to, the theology involved in Revelations is very difficult to understand and it takes a great deal of discussion and study and deliberation to gain a bit of understanding about the symbolism involved. It also requires knowing the Old and New Testaments well before understanding the prophecies found in Revelations, so it’s irrational, even, to try to talk lightly about and isolate a few symbols from these Prophecies — taking them out of context is really misleading.

There are a series of events foretold in the Bible, and what God intends also foretold, and why. So you need to understand “the whole plan” to understand the Bible as a whole, not just to take one area or a few lines and try to apply them otherwise (sometimes that works but mostly it’s not advised to try to do that because it can result in being misled or in misleading).

A Christian, such as myself, could easily say that while there can be no evidence of Obama being the antichrist, he certainly has the effect of an antichrist – playing off people’s emotions and fears to garner a crazed mass of people willing to believe anything he says and do anything he wants. — Grafted

The Left, however, will never get this because the extent of their “religion” is one of self-promotion. Perhaps those to be “left behind” are your runofthemill Liberals wearing “O” patches and hailing Obama…

But it’s wild stuff from the Left to try to push this very huuuuge range of very difficult to comprehend theology — which the Left rejects, anyway, and ridicules — onto the McCain campaign.

That ad by McCain just pointed out the hyperbole that is the extent of the Obama Fevah, that’s all it did.

They MISLEAD people by their charm, to their doom. They’re explained to be (in the Bible) immensely charming, attractive, magnetic, “charismatic” and highly peruasive, which leads many people to condemnation.

And, routinely, to be supported by great wealth, pose luxury and promise to many, to their doom by false message.

In the Bible, there are specifics about the appearance one day on Earth of the Anti-Christ (it specifically) but until that time when prophecy is fulfilled (not yet happened), it’s very realistic to deem much of what Obama says as being “of the anti-Christ,” fascilitating the message of “it,” so to say.

The message doesn’t change, is the point. He/she/it who speaks it, does, in fact, speak of and by the anti-christ, if one is to be literal as to what the Bible declares.

Or, just say that Obama’s the anti-christ, for short, if and as he walks like it, speaks like it, looks like it.

Obama more closely fulfills prophecy as to who/what the False Prophet is, however, though I am not up to specific familiarity on the sequence of the “end times” prophecies (how they unfold, though I believe the False Prophet appears on Earth first, then is followed by the rest of the Apocolyptic events).

Obama IS fulfilling many of the prophecies of the False Prophet, very similar conditions are his as are also foretold catergorize the False Prophet.

The Antichrist would hardly need a teleprompter to give a rousing speech… Indeed to even express a coherent thought.

Beyond that, he WOULD fit in with the Antichrist’s plans and cadre pretty well. Call him a Minion of the Antichrist… Yeah, I could believe that.

But mostly, I think he is the ultimate example of the dumbing down of the electorate. Obama will prove to the vast majority of people that America must smarten up and return to conservative values, or become a third world nation.

In that way, Obama may indeed be an agent of Hope and Change. IF America is smart enough to learn by the experience of such a horrible example, we can change… change BACK to the kind of people and the kind of government that made America the greatest nation ever, in the shortest amount of time.

Electing Marxist Obama as President will be like throwing the frog directly into the boiling water, rather than just increasing the temperature slowly. By that, I mean: making the leftward drift of the nation in slow increments, as has been going on for all but eight of the last 40 years.
