It’s going to be real tough for John McCain to explain his involvement and that of his campaign manager Rick Davis and how they have helped to facilitate a merger that could result in the loss of thousands of jobs in Ohio.

“…foreign-owned DHL buy[s] a U.S. company and gain[s] control over the jobs that are now on the chopping block in Ohio…”
“…DHL’s plans to puts its packages aboard the planes of a rival, United Parcel Service. If that deal is to go through (with UPS flying its cargo out of Louisville, Kentucky) DHL’s shipping hub in Wilmington, Ohio would be effectively closed, eliminating up to 10,000 jobs.

There goes the neighborhood and the American Dream.

I guess if your opponent won’t meet you for town-hall debates, you start finding new ways to conduct them yourself.

I’d prefer a face off between sock puppets. A gray wrinkly one for McCain and a light brown one for Obama.

Seriously, it isn’t a bad way to direct the YouTube crowd to McCain’s talking point on carefully selected and generic subjects. An electronic index to his vanilla stump speech. Not a bad approach if you think there are people aged 18+ who are out there searching YouTube to decide who to vote for.

I am still so annoyed at Sen. Obama getting to be “the decider” on these debates. I went on line to find that stupid committee’s website and of course there is no way to contact them. I mean nothing. So I settled for writing to the McCain Campaign website which will probably only result in a request for cash.
