It’s so mindlessly “positive,” in fact, that I’m surprised it hasn’t turned up in an Obama speech yet. Maybe he’s saving it for the convention.

He's saving it for Joe Biden to <strike>plagiarize</strike> <strike>quote</strike> come up with entirely on his own.

The sales easily demonstrates Peloser has no influence outside of her district in San Francisco. When compared to the rankings of other dims, she is in better shape: Gore ranked #4,767, Schumer ranked #107,408 and the talking cadaver, Harry Reid, ranked #221,642. Reid could've sold more books than he did if his immediate family had bought a book.

That $15/gallon equivalent price you were paying in Britain includes their regressive value added tax as well as reflects the horrible devaluation of our $$ currency against other world currencies. Probably half of that price was government taxes and a good part of the balance is the bad exchange rate since we are sending $700 BILLION a year in wealth transfer to oil producing countries who really hate us.

If anything, the T Boone Pickens ads have increased awareness of this wealth transfer and it is becoming more of a campaign issue that people want domestically produced energy. I think this will be the defining issue in this year's election.

We know her power…………..9%
ThePrez on August 7, 2008 at 4:04 PM

That's for Congress as a whole; her share of that approval would be about 0.05%. OK, as Speaker it might be twice that, or about one-tenth of a percent.

Nancy is a power-hungry, bitter control freak that isn't worth her weight in dog poop. She's busy promoting her book and blocking actual political debate from happening.

I just got back from two weeks in London. They would LOVE our gas prices. I had a rental car and was paying about $15/gallon. in perspective, we've got it pretty good here.

How about doing your friggin jobs?!?!

What exactly is, Nancy Pelosi's "job"?

She's proven she knows absolutely nothing about, nor is she at all qualified to solve the problems facing this country.

What experience does this woman have in running a business? In military matters? In anything but having a rich husband and being a darling of a small cabal of San Francisco Democrats.

Representatives should be elected who actually bring something to the table.

Instead, they're elected because some small group of political insiders, are able to manuever their name onto a ballot. And in Nancy's district, they'd vote for a ham sandwhich if it had "D" in front of the name.

The Democrat Congress is arguably the least qualified Congress is American history and we are seeing the results of it.

Their leader is a complete dope and the rest of the Democrats elected her, so that shows how bright they are.

Reviews scrubbed because there were more reviews than books sold.
Wade on August 7, 2008 at 2:06 PM

Probably the best explanation. And an indication of her overall popularity. Hillary supporters can't stand her either, from what I've seen.

Poor Nancy. More botox, please.

In her first week at market, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sold just 2,737 copies of her book KNOW YOUR POWER, according to NIELSEN BOOKSCAN.
The DOUBLEDAY release was launched with a full media push, featuring high profile interviews on TODAYTHEVIEWTHISWEEK…

Even if you assume whatever time she spent writing and sef-promoting the book and her own status as Speaker of the House were all worth absolutely nothing; and if you discount the editing and publishing costs completely...

The "free" media publicity ALONE comes out to at least $10,000 per book sold.

When are our politicians going to get time to actually do their friggin jobs? They spend hours on TV-shows each week, write books, dance around trying to sell them, and go campaigning for this or that.

But she is always saying she wants to save the planet! Think of the thousands of trees she could have saved by titling the book “The Wit And Wisdom Of Nancy Pelosi”!

Because with a title like this, the book would be about two pages in length, tops.

I just got an email from san fran nan here are a few clippings

American families and businesses are reeling from paying record high gas prices, while oil companies are earning record profits. With prices averaging nearly $4.40 per gallon in our state, Californians, and San Franciscans in particular, are hard hit with some of the highest prices in the country. The failure to diversify our energy sources - with bold investments in renewable energy and more efficient technology - leaves our nation dangerously dependent on foreign oil, and hurts our economy and our families.

But dont you even think about voting to drill more at home

The New Direction Congress {running away}has a new energy policy to reduce our dependence on foreign oil by reducing demand through greater efficiency and accelerating the use of renewable fuels - both of which will result in lower prices at the pump. Under Democratic leadership{bwahahahahahahahaha i didnt know tucking your tail and running away was leadership}, last year we enacted the landmark Energy Independence and Security Act, raising vehicle fuel efficiency standards for the first time in three decades{inflating your tires }, increasing our commitment to affordable American-grown biofuels,{But we wont remove the tariffs off of sugar for ethanol so we can pander to corn farmers way to go there dimocRATs} imposing energy efficiency standards for appliances and buildings,{what dose this have to do with oil consumption?} and protecting consumers from energy price and supply manipulation.{oh like that has worked in Cali} The increase in fuel efficiency standards is one of the most effective ways to reduce gas prices and will save families from $700 to $1,000 per year at the pump.{its all about the tire pressure}
