Cipher in the "Fairness Doctrine" and contemplate Rush's voice being silenced, along with the rest of the conservative voices. Not something I want to contemplate. I believe it has more to do with this than higher taxes. Liberals like free speech when it is "their" free speech, not when it is Rush's or conservative free speech being silenced.

misterpeasea:

I am not so sure about that. I think Obama would give Rush all sorts of things to talk about and that is how he makes his money.

As for this ad, who cares? I mean really, if people have to analyze and bitch about every ad it really will be a loooong campaign.

Both candidates have to try to reach a wide variety of people. That is just politics.

You can't be serious. Rush has more to lose than all of us put together, I'd guess. Think income taxes.

Again, when conservatives get good and tired of the whole Hope and Change that both Obama and McCain are preaching,
RobertInAustin on August 7, 2008 at 4:20 PM
So McCain is preaching Hope and Change?

Really? Because in his tv ad he says:

"Don’t “hope” for a better life. Vote for one."

"The right to keep and bare arms."

I tend to keep my arms covered the majority of the time, but think of it - you're willing to give all three branches of governnment over to the Democrats, with all of the fundraising and power that go along with it.

And you agree that they will abuse that power to invalidate the First Amendment. With the media ironically completely on their side of course.

And then you think a Civil War would be in order? Great thing to have when we have enemies willing to destroy, that wouldn't be any great distraction or anything.

All I am saying is that maybe conservatives need to suffer as they did in the 70’s under Jimmy Carter.

All Jimmy Carter did was FUBAR Iran.

A weak and unqualified Obama will likely get us nuked by that same Iran.

McCain is a qualified CINC. Obama is not.

then in the next election Reagan took 48 states.

So you want us to blow an election in what may be the most perilous time for this country in the past 150 years, on the irresponsible, childish and vague hope that we're going to get another Reagan.

Just brilliance. Let's just hope we're still able to vote when your conservative messiah appears.

How much clearance do you have to have to change tires?

about a good 24' in I can jack up the rig high enough.

You’re arguing that we should lose this election, hand over all three branches of government to the Democrats, and that you expect them to invalidate the first amendment?

I fully expect them to make an attempt. Don't think it will happen.

What would then keep them from invalidating all future elections?

The right to keep and bare arms.

Wouldn’t that put a monkey wrench in the plan to elect “real conservatives” in the future?

Nope, not in the slightest.

Sound to me like you’re thinking America will soon be a one party, Democrat country and that you think it’s a good idea.

Well, putting democrats in drag in the white house doesn't sound much better.

I would rather not fight the civil war that would be necessary. I would rather just that Obama lose this fall. Sorry to disagree with you on that.

Again, when conservatives get good and tired of the whole Hope and Change that both Obama and McCain are preaching, they will come around. For years they have been sending RINO's to DC based on your philosophy that if democrats get elected puppies and kittens will began to die at a greatly accelerated rate.

All I am saying is that maybe conservatives need to suffer as they did in the 70's under Jimmy Carter. Reagan tried and failed once, then we got Carter and then in the next election Reagan took 48 states.

But as long as you keep sending RINO's to DC you will just be buying into the whole Hope and Change. You "hope" your RINO isn't going to screw you, but in the end they didn't "change".

That was a really strong ad. It's funny though, because all of those Democrats now have amnesia and suddenly don't think McCain's a swell guy anymore. Obama truly does bring about Change...

Congratulations Hot Aire folks!

You all made it into Saint Mc’s “Astro Turf” campaign, as featured bloggers.

I thought Bill Clinton was the only guy with Astro Turf in the back of his pickup?

Go on! Check it out!

"Well, I couldn’t work on an ambulance if I had an arrest record now could I.

Why don’t you even try and get an argument because with stoops like this you clearly don’t have a clue."

How much clearance do you have to have to change tires?

And you still haven't answered my "substantive" question:

You’re arguing that we should lose this election, hand over all three branches of government to the Democrats, and that you expect them to invalidate the first amendment?

What would then keep them from invalidating all future elections? Wouldn’t that put a monkey wrench in the plan to elect “real conservatives” in the future?

Sound to me like you’re thinking America will soon be a one party, Democrat country and that you think it’s a good idea.

I would rather not fight the civil war that would be necessary. I would rather just that Obama lose this fall. Sorry to disagree with you on that.

I watched the ad without reading the verbose analysis and came to the conclusion that the ad was a good one. It's so good, the Demos will hate it. It's gotten to be a law of nature:
someone from the right tells the truth about their Saviour and the left pitches hissy fits. You strike the match, it lights!

John: You're not going to get the wacked out Hillary voters unless you;

A. Get sex change

B. Announce your support of full scale socialism and "universal healthcare"

C. Immediately support tax payer funded genocide of unborn children and infanticide in the U.S. and abroad

D. Convince your wife to convert to lesbianism

E. Start practicing witchcraft

Is it worth it John?
